Multiplayer Race
Sky Sanctuary: This stage is taken from Sonic Generations and serves as a racing stage. Here, you can race through either of the versions of the stage from beginning to end. In addition to the robots that would be normally found here, Team Flora Grunts and robots also make their presence known here. There are several different paths that you can take through this stage to make it to the end. The goal is to be the first to reach the Goal Gate at the end of the stage or complete a number of laps (which can be set by 1P), where the Goal Gate teleports anyone passing through it back to the start. 1P can also select a time limit or "until one remains"; if a time limit is chosen, then the race will be run until the time limit is up, then the first player to complete the lead lap wins; if "until one remains" is chosen, infinite laps are run, and the last one still running wins. There is also "score the most points", where infinite laps are run and players have to score the most points by performing tricks and defeating enemies before the time is up. Whoever scores the most points wins. If a character has their HP reduced to zero, they'll respawn at the last checkpoint (this stage has checkpoints for this purpose only) (if playing in Trinity Team or Custom Team, the respawning happens when the lead character in a team's HP is reduced to 0). When playing "until one remains", if a character has their HP reduced to zero, that character is removed from the stage (if this happens to a non-lead character in a team in Trinity Team or Custom Team, that character can't be brought back. Any enemies defeated respawn after a minute (flying enemies respawn instantly due to the fact that you may need to use them to advance through the stage). Note that the Death Egg isn't seen at all in either version of this stage. Players will have a lot of fun with all the race options available.

Seaside Palace: This stage is taken from Sonic Heroes and serves as a racing stage. Here, you can race through either Seaside Hill or Ocean Palace from beginning to end, but in addition to the usual Eggman robots that are found here, you'll also have to watch out for Team Aqua Grunts and robots. There are a number of different paths that you can take through this stage to make it to the end. The goal is to be the first to reach the Goal Gate at the end of the stage or complete a number of laps (which can be set by 1P), where the Goal Gate teleports anyone that passes through it back to the start. 1P can also select a time limit or "until one remains"; if a time limit is chosen, the race will be run until the time limit is up, then the first player to complete the lead lap wins; if "until one remains" is chosen, infinite laps are run, and the last one still running wins. Any enemies defeated respawn after a minute (flying enemies respawn instantly due to the fact that you may need to use them to advance through the stage). When in Seaside Hill, there are a number of carts equal to the number of players. Due to all the different paths you can take here and the number of race options, expect to have a lot of fun here.

Stardust Speedway: For this stage, you can through one of two Sonic Generations-esque remakes of the Present version of Stardust Speedway from Sonic CD, one Classic-style, the other Modern-style. In addition to the usual enemies, you'll also have to watch out for Team Draco Grunts and robots. Elements such as panels that when flipped change the paths you can take and spring loaded launchers are also here. You'll even race around the same giant Eggman-shaped structure in both versions. There are a number of different paths that you can take through this stage to make it to the end.
