The addition here is a gameplay mode (released July 2008) accessed from the episodes. Here's the lowdown:
Co-Operative: This is a two-player or four-player mode (sorry, there's no three-player game in this mode). Playing with two players or with four players is done the same as in the Arena component. In this mode, two or four characters tackle the main missions together. Some objectives have been modified for the co-op mode to specifically take advantage of having two or four players, and some of the stages are a little different as well in order to take advantage of having two or four people there. Some of the tweaks differ depending on how many players there are--there may be tweaks for four players that further tweak a tweak made for two, and there may be tweaks for four players that weren't tweaked for two. The level and character-unlock progression is the same in co-op as it is in the single-player (you can't use characters only playable in the multiplayer); the only difference is that there are fewer cutscenes and less of a story. Characters unlocked through the multiplayer in the single-player can be used in the co-op upon either clearing Forest Highway in the co-op or unlocking the character through their multiplayer circumstances (whichever is later). To clear a stage in co-op, all players must meet the clear conditions. If any player meets a failure condition (including the universal ones of having their HP drop to 0, falling off the stage, or going out of bounds), the mission fails. In addition, players 2, 3, and 4 can't choose a character player 1 hasn't yet unlocked. Note that there are character pairs that can't participate together on some stages. When selecting the "Co-Operative Game" from the main menu, there is a Synch option available under each of the player options.
Since there's only one character playable at the start of episode 1 (Cissy), the remaining slots will be filled by "ghost characters" based on Rudy, Luana, and Drake-OI until there are enough playable characters to go around. In the two-player game, ghost characters will stop appearing upon either starting Red Mountain and unlocking Rudy and Luana in the process or by unlocking an Arena character. In the four-player game, ghost characters will continue to appear until either starting Magma Lab and unlocking Drake-OI in the process or unlocking enough Arena characters to fill the remaining slots.
In early stage playthroughs of episode 1 in the co-operative modes, certain requirements are in place due to character restrictions. They are as follows: *Forest Highway 2P: For the initial playthrough, 1P is Cissy and 2P is a ghost character. Provided one hasn't unlocked any character through the Arena stages, additional playthroughs prior to visiting Red Mountain will have only 1P selecting a character with 2P as a ghost character due to a pairing restriction. *Forest Highway 4P: For the initial playthrough, 1P is Cissy, with the others all ghost characters. Provided one hasn't unlocked any character through the Arena stages, additional playthroughs prior to visiting Red Mountain will have only 1P selecting a character with the others as ghost characters due to a pairing restriction. Ghost characters may still appear even with Arena unlocks if you've only unlocked one or two such characters. Returning here after visiting Red Mountain but not yet visiting Magma Lab or unlocking an Arena character will allow 1P, 2P, and 3P to select their characters, but 4P plays as a ghost character due to a pairing restriction. *Red Mountain 4P: For any playthrough prior to visiting Magma Lab or unlocking an Arena character, 1P, 2P, and 3P select their characters, but 4P plays as a ghost character due to a pairing restriction.
First stages of episodes after the first will have player 1 as the stage's initial character, with the others being able to choose their characters from those unlocked previously.
The Synch option is a little misleading, all it does is give you one password and asks you to transmit that password along with the passwords for episode 1 using the DS as the transmission device. If you do as the option says, you'll download a DS version of the co-op game that matches the option you took. If you used Synch in the two-player mode, the game will begin as soon as a second player downloads the game from the first player's DS. If you used Synch in the four-player mode, the game will begin as soon as the second, third, and fourth players download the game from the first player's DS. Both versions of the Synch option include the Arena unlockables that aren't named Mario or Pulseman. From this point on, DS co-op progress is tracked by its own progress passwords, one for the two-player game and one for the four-player game, separate from the normal mode and Jenny Mode progress passwords (these new passwords can also be used with the Arena's Synch option to add additional characters at a later date). By using those progress passwords, you'll be able to play up to the end of episode 13 in co-op mode provided you have other players to play with. Since Space Shield Crisis is Wii-exclusive, you can't play that side story on the DS in co-operative mode either.
As for tweaked objectives, here they are, episode by episode, stage by stage (note that approaches for objectives said to be untweaked may be tweaked, but the overall execution and result is untweaked; any player can pick up objects in order to contribute):

EPISODE 1: Forest Highway: -Find main path -Defeat the Team Magma guards -Rendezvous with Danny on the entrance bridge (Cissy must be present) -Duel Danny (Cissy must be present) -Escort Danny to the base of the mountain (Cissy must be present) -Reach the base of the mountain (Cissy can't be present)
"Find main path" and "Defeat the Team Magma guards" are untweaked.
If Cissy is part of the team, you'll have to fight Danny on the entrance bridge regardless of the other players on the team.
For "Escort Danny to the base of the mountain", if one players meets that condition and the other players still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "reach the base of the mountain". For "Reach the base of the mountain", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Red Mountain: -Scale the mountain -Destroy or deface Team Magma propaganda -Defeat the Team Magma guards on the outside of the mountain -Find way through inner cave -Defeat the Team Magma guards on the inside of the mountain -Reach Team Magma's volcano lab
All objectives except "Reach Team Magma's volcano lab" are untweaked.
All players must be inside the lab for the stage to clear.
Magma Lab: -Locate and dispose of the Blue Orb -Defeat the Team Magma Grunts -Defeat Tabitha (a female character must be present) -Defeat Harland (a male character or Duplica must be present) -Defeat Courtney -Defeat Maxie -Keep Groudon asleep -Escape the volcano
All objectives between "Defeat Harland" and "Escape the volcano" are untweaked.
There is only one Blue Orb, so only one player needs locate and dispose of it. One player also needs approach Groudon with it in order to wake it up. If the team includes both a female character other than Duplica and either a male character or Duplica, both the Tabitha and Harland objectives must be met; have a female character go after Tabitha and a male character go after Harland. All players must meet "Escape the volcano" in order for the stage to clear. If some make it out but others don't, the mission fails.
EPISODE 2: Emerald Coast: -Destroy or deface Team Aqua propaganda -Escape the tourist trap -Reach the rickety bridge -Escape the killer whales -Reach the mossy cave -Defeat the Team Aqua guards -Get past the lake and spiked gates -Reach the number puzzle (Brock can't be present) -Rendezvous with Erika at the number puzzle (Brock must be present) -Solve the number puzzle and reach the ship (Brock can't be present) -Duel Erika (Brock must be present) -Escort Erika to the ship (Brock must be present)
Any objective prior to "Reach the rickety bridge" or between "Escape the killer whales" and "Reach the number puzzle" are untweaked.
The players must get past the killer whale area together. An invisible wall will impede a player's progress until all players reach the area.
If Brock is part of the team, you'll have to face off against Erika at the number puzzle regardless of the other players on the team.
All players must reach the ship in order for the stage to clear.
Ocean Liner: -Reach the radio room -Defend the ship from Team Aqua guards -Defend the submarine from Team Aqua guards -Deploy the submarine
The middle two objectives are untweaked.
"Reach the radio room" and "Deploy the submarine" are only passed once all players are together.
Aqua Dome: -Locate and dispose of the Red Orb -Defeat the Team Aqua Grunts -Defeat Matt (a male character or Duplica must be present) -Defeat Shelly (a female character must be present) -Defeat Isabel -Defeat Archie -Keep Kyogre asleep -Return to the surface
All objectives between "Defeat Shelly" and "Return to the surface" are untweaked.
There is only one Red Orb, so only one player needs locate and dispose of it. One player also needs approach Kyogre with it in order to wake it up. If the team includes both a female character other than Duplica and either a male character or Duplica, both the Matt and Shelly objectives must be met; have a female character go after Shelly and a male character go after Matt. All players must meet "Return to the surface" in order for the stage to clear. If some make it out but others don't, the mission fails.
EPISODE 3: Green Hill: -Race to the jungle -Destroy or deface Team Flora propaganda
"Destroy or deface Team Flora propaganda" is untweaked.
All players must make it to the goal before time runs out, although only one player need trigger the Eggman encounter.
Amazon Dense: -Destroy the poison plants -Defeat the Team Flora guards -Find the cave entrance
The first two objectives are untweaked.
All players must reach the cave.
Flora Cave: -Defeat the Team Flora Grunts -Defeat Brad -Defeat Seth (a male character or Duplica must be present) -Defeat Xenia (a female character must be present) -Locate Celebi and allow its escape -Defeat Farlie -Blast way to the highway
The first two objectives and "Defeat Farlie" are untweaked.
If the team includes both a female character other than Duplica and either a male character or Duplica, both the Seth and Xenia objectives must be met; have a female character go after Xenia and a male character go after Seth. All players must meet "Blast way to the highway" in order for the stage to clear. Only one person need actually blow up the weak wall, but all players need to go through the hole created.
EPISODE 4: Route 99: -Save 15 Chao -Destroy or deface GUN propaganda -Find the GUN off-ramp (Eusine can't be present) -Rendezvous with Luka 1 mile from the GUN off-ramp (Eusine must be present) -Duel Luka (Eusine must be present) -Escort Luka to the GUN off-ramp (Eusine must be present)
The first two objectives are untweaked.
If Eusine is part of the team, you'll have to face off against Luka a mile from the GUN off-ramp regardless of the other players on the team.
For "Escort Luka to the GUN off-ramp", if one player meets that condition and the other players still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Find the GUN off-ramp". For "Find the GUN off-ramp", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
GUN Highway: -Save 15 Chao -Destroy or deface GUN propaganda -Destroy the GUN Troops -Collect all the Chaos Drives -Locate the artificial waterfall
All objectives except "Locate the artificial waterfall" are untweaked.
All players must meet this objective in order to clear the stage.
Metal Rapids: -Coast down GUN's waterfall -Save 15 Chao -Locate the Sonic crew and escort them to the falls -Destroy the GUN Troops -Collect all the Chaos Drives -Protect Dr. Eggman, the Team Plasma Grunts, and Registeel from the GUN assault -Defeat the Commander -Hijack the GUN airplane -Escort Dr. Eggman away from the area
All objectives between "Coast down GUN's waterfall" and "Hijack the GUN airplane" are untweaked.
"Coast down GUN's waterfall" differs for the two-player and four-player games. In the two-player game, player 1 is driving the jet-ski, while player 2 is the passenger. Player 2 needs do nothing. In the four-player game, there are two jet-skis, with player 1 and player 2 as the drivers and player 3 and player 4 as their respective passengers. Players 3 and 4 need do nothing. Aeris-K will still throw up at the end of the ride even as a passenger. All players need to secure the airplane and get Dr. Eggman out of there in order to clear the stage. The Commander can still seize the plane if at least one player hasn't yet boarded the plane.
EPISODE 5: Grand Metropolis: -Protect the energy -Destroy or deface Team Rocket propaganda -Defeat the Team Rocket guards -Defeat Annie and Oakley -Defeat Domino -Find the radio tower (Misty can't be present) -Rendezvous with Bugsy at the energy source (Misty must be present) -Duel Bugsy (Misty must be present) -Escort Bugsy to the radio tower (Misty must be present)
All objectives prior to "Find the radio tower" are untweaked.
If Misty is part of the team, you'll have to face off against Bugsy at the energy source regardless of the other players on the team.
For "Escort Bugsy to the radio tower", if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Find the radio tower". For "Find the radio tower", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Radio Mess: -Take back the airwaves -Defeat the Team Rocket guards -Defeat Butch and Cassidy -Defeat Nanba -Find an escape vehicle
All objectives except "Find an escape vehicle" are untweaked.
In a two-player game, both players must ride the same Pursuit Vehicle. The first player there drives, the other is a passenger and needs do nothing. The mission fails if players leave in separate Pursuit Vehicles.
In a four-player game, only two Pursuit Vehicles may be used, and two is the maximum capacity for a vehicle. The first player in one drives, the second player in one is a passenger and needs do nothing. The mission fails if three or more Pursuit Vehicles are used. Both Pursuit Vehicles must make it to the end in order to clear the stage.
Rocket Chase: -Don't lose sight of the moving Team Rocket vehicle -Board the stopped Team Rocket vehicle -Confiscate all non-dairy Miltank products (Whitney must be present) -Flush out and defeat Sebastian (only appears when using only female characters and neither's Duplica) -Defeat Sebastian (a male character or Duplica must be present) -Cut off contact with Attila and Hun -Allow Regice's escape -Defeat Jessie and James -Defeat Tyson-TR -Drive to the capital city
"Defeat Jessie and James" and "Defeat Tyson-TR" are untweaked.
The first two objectives play differently between the two-player game and the four-player game. In the two-player game, Player 1 is driving the Pursuit Vehicle, while player 2 is the passenger. Player 2 needs do nothing, when player 1 triggers the eject action, both players will board the stopped Rocket Vehicle. In the four-player game, there are two Pursuit Vehicles, with player 1 and player 2 as the drivers, and player 3 and player 4 as their respective passengers. The passengers need do nothing. Both drivers must trigger the eject action together, and all four players will board the stopped Rocket Vehicle. If Whitney is part of the team, the non-dairy Miltank products will be present and that objective will be required. If a male character or Duplica is on the team, just have that character go in and face Sebastian, since no diversion is necessary unless all players are using female characters (and Duplica can't be any of them). For "Allow Regice's escape", if there's a female character on the team, it's easier to let the female character handle it, attacking the door isn't necessary unless all players are using male characters. Finally, any player can take the wheel of the Rocket Vehicle and the others will be passengers; only the player that took the wheel needs to drive. The passengers need do nothing.
EPISODE 6: Capital City: -Destroy or deface Team Plasma propaganda -Locate the President -Defeat the Team Plasma guards -Locate the train
The middle two objectives are untweaked.
"Destroy or deface Team Plasma propaganda" plays differently between the two-player game and the four-player game. In the two-player game, player 1 is driving the hovercraft, but player 2 controls the weapon. Player 1 should concentrate on driving, while player 2 should concentrate on destroying or defacing the billboards. In the four-player game, there are two hovercrafts, with player 1 and player 2 as the drivers, and player 3 and player 4 are their respective gunners. The drivers should concentrate on driving, while the gunners should concentrate on destroying or defacing the billboards. If Aeris-K can't continue after the hovercraft portion, only the player using Aeris-K needs to switch characters; the other characters continue on with the new partner. For "Locate the train", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Mad Train: -Reach the head car of the runaway train -Defeat the Team Plasma guards -Stop the runaway train -Let Plasmae escape
All objectives are untweaked.
In order to actually clear the mission, all players must at least reach the head car. In the co-op games, the clock stops once the train stops. If Plasmae escapes before any player gets to the head car, that player pretty much has a free ride to the head car, and the mission clears upon all characters reaching it.
Plasma Power Plant: -Defeat the Team Plasma Grunts -Destroy Generator 1 -Destroy Generator 2 -Defeat Jack (a male character or Duplica must be present) -Defeat Rhonda (a female character must be present) -Destroy Generator 3 -Destroy Generator 4 -Defeat David -Destroy Generator 5 -Destroy Generator 6 -Defeat Plasmae -Destroy Generator 7 -Destroy Generator 8 -Allow Regirock's escape -Destroy Generator 9 -Destroy Generator 10 -Escape from facility before Generators 11 and 12 explode
"Defeat Jack", "Defeat Rhonda", and "Escape from facility before Generators 11 and 12 explode" are the only tweaked objectives.
If the team includes both a female character other than Duplica and either a male character or Duplica, both the Jack and Rhonda objectives must be met; have a female character go after Rhonda and a male character go after Jack. All players must meet "Escape from facility before Generators 11 and 12 explode" in order for the stage to clear. If any player is still inside when time runs out, the mission fails.
EPISODE 7: Valley of Light: -Destroy the three shadow generators -Defeat the Team Cipher guards -Defeat Lovrina -Find the cave entrance and defeat Snattle
All objectives except the last are untweaked.
An invisible wall will prevent entry into the Snattle battle area until all players reach it. Snattle is the first battle in the co-op mode that requires all players be together; previously, only one player would be present at the start of the battle, but any other player could join at anytime. Snattle himself has a few new tactics to reflect being forced to battle multiple opponents. The mission is clear at the end of the battle.
Mystic Cave: -Destroy the three MP3 players playing Miror B.'s theme -Defeat Miror B. -Destroy the four shadow generators -Defeat the Team Cipher guards -Find the abandoned minecart -Defeat Gorigan -Take minecart to the Cipher base
"Destroy the four shadow generators" and "Defeat the Team Cipher guards" remain untweaked.
Only the player who destroys the third MP3 player faces Miror B. It's recommendable that the player who will fight Miror B. should let the other players pass the area where the battle takes place before destroying the third MP3 player. An invisible wall will prevent entry into the minecart area until all players reach it. All players must be present in order to face Gorigan, and all players must enter the minecart before it takes off. Gorigan himself has a few new tactics to reflect being forced to battle multiple opponents.
Cipher Key Lair: -Defeat the checkpoint guards -Destroy five shadow generators near the checkpoints -Defeat the Team Cipher Peons -Defeat Ardos -Defeat Eldes -Defeat Greevil -Destroy six shadow generators near Greevil and set Lugia free -Find the teleporter to Midgar
"Sneak past Cipher checkpoints" doesn't exist in the co-operative mode. "Find the teleporter to Midgar" is the only tweaked objective among those that remain.
It isn't necessary to pull a Solid Snake in this stage even if you have Duplica available. Since Duplica's the only one who could potentially pull a Solid Snake here, the "defeat" objective will appear instead of the "sneak" objective. The Departure Teleporter here will not activate until all characters are on it.
EPISODE 8: Midgar City: -Investigate destroyed reactors -Defeat Reno's underlings -Exchange red Chaos Drives for Independent Materia -Defeat Reno -Find train to Wutai (doesn't appear to Trixie) -Find train graveyard (appears only to Trixie) -Rendezvous with Samantha in the train graveyard (appears only to Trixie) -Duel Samantha (appears only to Trixie) -Escort Samantha to the train to Wutai (appears only to Trixie)
"Investigate destroyed reactors", "Find train to Wutai", and "Escort Samantha to the train to Wutai" are the only tweaked objectives.
You can send one player to each of the reactors. If the team chooses to investigate the reactors in this way, once Barret arrives at one (usually #1, but sometimes #5), Reno's underlings will arrive at the other (usually #5, but sometimes #1). The Trixie Gate here is retractable and will only let Trixie pass. It's recommendable that teams with Trixie have at least one other player wait outside while Trixie conducts her business with Samantha; this way, there's at least one extra hand available to protect Samantha with. Note that if "Escort Samantha to the train to Wutai" fails, "Find train to Wutai" also fails.
Wutai: -Recover all 16 Summon Materia -Exchange purple Chaos Drives for Support Materia -Exchange green Chaos Drives for Magic Materia -Defeat Rude's underlings -Defeat Rude -Find the map to the Forgotten City
All objectives are untweaked.
The other players can pretty much sit around and do nothing while one completes all the objectives. However, having two players available helps in making the materia deals at Turtle's Paradise, and having all players helps while facing off against Reno's underlings. The mission clears when one player finds the map.
The Forgotten City: -Find spot where Aeris-FF7 died -Contact Aeris-FF7's ghost -Exchange yellow Chaos Drives for Command Materia -Defeat Elena's underlings -Find and defeat one Elena impostor (must have only male characters present) -Find and defeat four Elena impostors (must have only female characters present, and Duplica can't be one of them) -Find and defeat five Elena impostors (must have both genders present or must have Duplica on the team) -Defeat Elena -Guide Mewtwo's escape -Spot Team Snagem's pyramid
"Find and defeat # Elena impostor(s)" (all three such objectives) and "Spot Team Snagem's pyramid" are tweaked.
You can have one player go off and meet Aeris-FF7 while the others begin the battle with Elena's underlings when they appear. When dealing with the Elena impostors, all players factor into the number. If you're dealing with only males, only one appears. If you're dealing with only females and none are Duplica, four appear. If you're dealing with a mix of male and female characters, or if Duplica's on the team, all five appear. All players must see the pyramid for themselves for the mission to clear.
EPISODE 9: Lost Desert: -Destroy the three MP3 players playing Miror B.'s theme -Defeat Miror B.'s generic peons -Defeat Reath and Ferma -Defeat Folly and Trudly -Defeat Miror B. -Reach the pyramid
"Reach the pyramid" is the only tweaked objective.
Before the stage begins, a cutscene exclusive to the co-operative mode appears. The 1P character asks the 2P character about something (this usually depends on the 2P character). The flashback is different for each character; for example, if Crasher Wake's flashback comes up, he'll remember barring a challenger from taking a gym challenge just because the challenger called him simply "Wake" (the only time in the entire game Crasher Wake is referred to as simply "Wake"), then later encountering that challenger at the Croagunk Festival, where he later took the title against a Croagunk owned by a pre-Team Galactic-era Saturn (you can tell which Croagunk is Saturn's due to the fact that Saturn's Croagunk bears the shining colors that his present-era Toxicroak bears). Crasher Wake later let that challenger into the gym for a proper gym challenge.
It's recommendable that the team splits up when the generic Miror B. Peons appear. If it's a two-player game, have one player backtrack while the other goes forward. If it's a four-player game, send two players in each direction. This makes completing that objective (the untweaked "Defeat Miror B.'s generic peons") easier. All players must reach the entrance to the pyramid in order to clear the mission.
Pyramid Cave: -Reach the launch bay -Defeat the Team Snagem guards -Defeat Wakin
"Defeat the Team Snagem guards" is the only untweaked objective.
The doors to the launch bay will not open until all players are there, and Wakin won't appear until the doors open. All players fight Wakin together. Wakin himself has a few new tactics to reflect being forced to battle multiple opponents.
Launch Bay: -Secure the shuttle -Defend shuttle from Team Snagem members -Defeat Gonzap -Spot Ho-Oh -Launch the shuttle into space
All objectives except the first and last are untweaked.
The Team Snagem members appear once one person enters the thingypit. Anyone in the thingypit when Gonzap appears must fight Gonzap, which means you can have some players take on the Snagems while others face Gonzap. All players must be in the thingypit in order for the shuttle to launch.
EPISODE 10: Space Colony ARK: -Guide shuttle through airspace of Space Colony ARK -Catch up with the shuttle in time -Destroy the ARK's defense systems -Make it back to the shuttle -Make contact with the Space Station -Dock with the Space Station
"Catch up with the shuttle in time" and "Make it back to the shuttle" are the tweaked objectives.
For the first shuttle sequence, Player 1 is piloting the Space Shuttle, while the other players are passengers. The other players needs do nothing. All players must be at the meeting point for the shuttle by the time time runs out in order to clear "Make it back to the shuttle"; first one there gets to be the pilot for the second shuttle sequence (again, the other players are passengers and need do nothing).
Space Station: -Spot Team Draco's temporary base -Spot the floating pieces of Team Draco's future permanent base -Defeat the Team Draco guards -Board the Altaria orbiter left by the Team Draco guards -Fly orbiter to the temporary Draco base
"Defeat the Team Draco guards" is the only untweaked objective.
All players must spot the necessary objects, or else an invisible wall will prevent entry into the area with the Altaria orbiter. The Altaria orbiter won't take off until all players are aboard. The first player aboard is piloting the Altaria orbiter, while the others are passengers. Passengers needs do nothing.
Draco Spacelab: Area 1: -Sneak by the Team Draco Grunts -Locate and dispose of teal megaphone -Stop the super laser from firing -Find five poker sets -Defeat Megathug -Open pressurized door to next area
All objectives except "Open pressurized door to next area" are untweaked.
This stage is a [OOPS!] to complete in co-op since only Duplica can pull a Solid Snake and the objective remains "sneak". All players must get through the door in order to go on to area 2.
Area 2: -Defeat the Team Draco Grunts -Defeat Murphy -Find the pink binder (objective only available to female characters) -Find the blue binder (objective only available to male characters and Duplica) -Find the teal binder -Optional Objective: Find the special binder -Decode the password to open pressurized door to next area
"Find the special binder" doesn't exist in the co-operative mode. "Find the pink binder", "Find the blue binder", and "Decode the password to open pressurized door to next area" are tweaked.
If the team includes both a female character other than Duplica and either a male character or Duplica, both the pink and blue binder objectives must be met; have a female character go after the pink binder and a male character go after the blue binder. Only one player need decode the password, but all players must get through the door in order to go on to area 3. The grunt carrying the special binder does not appear in the co-op mode, hence why that objective doesn't appear.
Area 3: -Defeat the Team Draco Grunts -Defeat Vikki -Open pressurized door to next area
The first two objectives are untweaked.
All players must get through the door in order to go to area 4.
Area 4: -Defeat the Team Draco Grunts -Defeat Rachel -Find the one remaining Altaria orbiter -Fly orbiter out of temporary base before base explodes -Fly orbiter to the working area of the permanent Draco Base
"Defeat the Team Draco Grunts" is the only untweaked objective.
An invisible wall will impede progress until all players reach it. The invisible wall is right before the Rachel encounter. All players must be present during the Rachel battle. Rachel herself has a few new tactics to reflect being forced to battle multiple opponents. The Altaria orbiter won't take off until all players are aboard. The first player aboard is piloting the Altaria orbiter, while the others are passengers. Passengers need do nothing.
Area 5: -Defeat Dralene -Trap Rayquaza in re-entry capsule -Return stolen shuttle to Earth -Turn Rayquaza loose during shuttle re-entry
"Trap Rayquaza in re-entry capsule" is the only untweaked objective.
Dralene herself has a few new tactics to reflect being forced to battle multiple opponents. All players must be in the shuttle before you can return to Earth. The first player aboard is piloting the shuttle, but the second player aboard controls the capsule. The pilot should concentrate on flying, while the one with the capsule should concentrate on when to press the action button to complete the stage. The other two players in a four-player game need do nothing.

EPISODE 11: Capital Highway: -Drive from the Capital to rest area -Deface Go-Rock Squad propaganda at rest area -Reach the Timerunner at Central City -Defeat the Timerunner's guard, Go-Rock Quad Tiffany
"Deface Go-Rock Squad propaganda at rest area" is the only untweaked objective.
The driving phase differs between the two-player and four-player games. In the two-player game, player 1 is driving the vehicle regardless of which vehicle is being used, while Player 2's role is merely a passenger and needs do nothing. In the four-player game, there are two vehicles chosen (the vehicles can be the same or different), with player 1 and player 2 as the drivers, and player 3 and player 4 as their respective passengers. Only player 1 can leave and re-enter a vehicle in the rest area. Note that the mission fails if either of the vehicles is destroyed, even if the other remains intact. Tiffany herself has a few new tactics to reflect being forced to battle two opponents (in a four-player game, the first pair's arrival triggers the start of the battle, while the second pair can join in upon arriving).
The Timerunner at the end of the stage requires all players to be on it to ride. Once it's ridden, the mission is clear.
Central City: -Pre-Crisis: Defeat the Go-Rock Squad's guards -Pre-Crisis: Warn the public -Pre-Crisis: Defeat Go-Rock Quad Billy -Pre-Crisis: Take shelter -Post-Crisis: Defeat the Go-Rock Squad's guards -Post-Crisis: Defeat Go-Rock Quad Clyde -Post-Crisis: Unseal entrance to 44-year-old cave -Post-Crisis: Use Timerunner to enter the Go-Rock Squad's hideout
The last pre-crisis objective and the last two post-crisis objectives are the tweaked objectives.
Each player needs to find their own place to take shelter in. Note that the entire mission fails if some people find shelter and others don't. If a mid-stage event happens with a character, it happens to just the character in question; those that need to switch switch, those that don't need to switch don't. Only one player needs to unseal the cave entrance, but all players need to ride the Timerunner in order to clear the mission.
Go-Rock Cave: -XXXX: Defeat the Go-Rock Squad's grunts -XXXX: Defeat the Go-Rock Squad's grunts -XXXX: Activate all Timerunners -XXXX: Reveal information about Team Galactic -XXXX: Defeat Go-Rock Quad Garret -XXXX: Return Regigigas to XXXX -XXXX: Set Regigigas free -XXXX and XXXX: Reach boss's room -XXXX: Defeat Gordor -XXXX and XXXX: Use Timerunners to escape hideout
The last objective is tweaked.
All players must reach the exit in order to clear the mission. If any player's still inside (regardless of timeframe) when the stage blows up, the mission fails.
EPISODE 12: Abandoned Lab: -Restore power -Research robots of the future -Duel with Electra (Volkner must be present) -Escort Electra to the Timerunner before facility blows up (Volkner must be present) -Find and use a Timerunner (Volkner can't be present)
"Escort Mario to Luigi", "Get through India", and "Defeat Team Meanies" don't exist in the co-operative mode. The last three objectives among those that still exist are tweaked.
If a player tries to use the Mario and Wario or Pulseman arcade machines, player 1 (or player 2 if player 1 is the one that tries to access the machine) will comment on how there's no time to play video games. There is no co-op Jenny Mode, hence no Team Meanies objective.
If Volkner is part of the team, you'll have to face off against Electra regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort Electra to the Timerunner before facility blows up", if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Find and use a Timerunner". For "Find and use a Timerunner", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Wily Tower: -Destroy Dr. Wily's robots -Rendezous with Mega Man -Defeat first wave of Robot Masters -Win an HP Tank -Rendezous with and protect Proto Man -Defeat second wave of Robot Masters -Win a Speed Tank -Defeat Dr. Wily -Find and use a Timerunner leading further to future
The final objective is the only tweaked objective.
All players need to ride the Timerunner at the end of the stage to clear the mission.
Crashed Colony Eurasia: -XXXX: Destroy Sigma's robots -XXXX: Destroy Sigma's robots -XXXX: Try out the Spacerider -XXXX: Rendezvous with Zero -XXXX: Destroy first wave of Mavericks -XXXX: Win a Jump Tank -XXXX: Destroy second wave of Mavericks -XXXX: Win a Power Tank -XXXX: Rendezvous with Mega Man X -XXXX: Rendezvous with Axl and recieve the Defense Tank -XXXX: Find and protect Heatran -XXXX: Defeat Sigma -XXXX: Find a Timerunner returning to present
The final objective is the only tweaked objective.
All players need to ride the Timerunner at the end of the stage to clear the mission. Only one player needs tie Heatran to it.
EPISODE 13: Crazy Gadget: -Defeat Team Galactic guards -Protect Heatran -Traverse first Spacerider maze -Traverse second Spacerider maze -Traverse final Spacerider maze -Defeat Mars -Take Timerunner forward in time
The final objective is the only tweaked objective.
Note that Rhonda and the Sinnoh Now crew do not show up in the co-operative modes. As usual, all players need to ride the Timerunner at the end of the stage to clear the mission.
Return to Space Gadget: -XXXX: Defeat Team Galactic guards -XXXX: Traverse first wave of fluid -XXXX: Restore defense shields -XXXX: Traverse second wave of fluid -XXXX: Defeat Jupiter -XXXX and XXXX: Traverse maze of Spaceriders and Timerunners -XXXX: Cut Giratina loose -XXXX: Infiltrate Team Galactic's hideout
The final objective is the only tweaked objective.
All players must ride the last Spacerider together in order to clear the mission.
Also note that this stage has an exclusive co-operative-mode cutscene upon first arriving in the present. The 2P character will spot Giratina's cage from a distance and ask what form it's in. Either the 1P character (in a two-player game) or the 4P character (in a four-player game) will ask how "form" is spelled, whether or not it's spelled with an E. The 2P character calls the question-asker an idiot, of course there's no E in "form". The 2P character will even recall an incident where Giratina, in its Origin Form, actually killed someone just for spelling "form" as "forme" to Giratina's face; the body was found in the Sendoff Spring the next morning. The flashback doesn't show much of the offender, but shows enough to confirm that the offender was a female. An additional sequence available only to four players has 3P likening Dialga to a diamond and Palkia to a pearl, and concludes that Giratina is obviously a girasol in comparison to those two, and mentions that anyone who thinks Giratina is platinum in comparison is an idiot (the only mention of the word "platinum" in the entire game).
Galactic Base: Main Objective: -XXXX: Defeat Team Galactic Grunts -XXXX: Defeat Team Galactic Grunts -XXXX: Defeat Team Galactic Grunts -XXXX: Defeat Team Galactic Grunts -XXXX: Defeat Team Galactic Grunts -XXXX: Defeat Saturn -XXXX: Protect the spacecraft -XXXX: Win a rematch against Mars -XXXX: Reposition the spacecraft -XXXX: Win a rematch against Jupiter -XXXX: Witness slave trade from afar -XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX: Take ultimate Timerunner ride -XXXX: Win a rematch against Saturn -XXXX and XXXX: Ride Spaceriders and Timerunner to final arena
"Recover special data disk" and "Return special data disk to access terminal" don't exist in the co-operative modes. The last objective is the only one among those that still exist that is tweaked.
While the conveyor belt the special data disk rides on in the Wii version does exist in the co-op modes, the special data disk itself does not, hence why those objectives are not present. All players must be on that last Spacerider together to reach the Final Arena.
Final Arena: -All Time Periods: Defeat Cyrus -XXXX: Rescue first hostage -XXXX: Rescue second hostage -XXXX: Rescue Dialga -XXXX: Rescue Palkia -XXXX: Attach abandoned Altaria orbiter to a Timerunner and return to XXXX -XXXX: Destroy the Timerunner leading to XXXX -XXXX: Destroy the Timerunner leading to XXXX -XXXX: Trigger self-destruct switch -XXXX: Escape base aboard Altaria orbiter before base explodes
The first and last objectives are the only ones tweaked.
Cyrus himself has a few new tactics to reflect being forced to battle multiple opponents. The Altaria orbiter won't take off until all players are aboard. The first player aboard is piloting the Altaria orbiter, while the others are passengers. The passengers need do nothing.

FIRST STAGE: Space Metropolis: -Speed through the space city -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 3: Defeat all the Team Draco robots (leads to Electrochemical Reactor) -2 of 3: Defeat all the Artificial Chaos (leads to Star Gardens) -3 of 3: Complete the stage within 6:00:00 (leads to Starlight Expressway) -Reach the monorail station (Cissy and Danny can't be present) -Rendezvous with Danny on the skyscraper (Cissy must be present) -Rendezvous with Cissy on the skyscraper (Danny must be present) -Duel Danny (Cissy must be present) -Duel Cissy (Danny must be present) -Escort Danny to the monorail station (Cissy must be present) -Escort Cissy to the monorail station (Danny must be present)
Any objective listed prior to the 3 of 3 objective is untweaked.
If going for objective 3 of 3, all players must complete the stage within the allotted time. If just one player takes too long, that objective can't be cleared.
If Cissy or Danny is part of the team, you'll have to face off against the other regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort <target> to the monorail station", where <target> is Cissy or Danny depending on who was fought in the dueling objective, if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Reach the monorail station". For "Reach the monorail station", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
SECOND STAGES: Electrochemical Reactor: -Protect each of the energy generators -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 3: Defeat all the Team Draco robots (leads to Space Shuffle) -2 of 3: Defeat all the Artificial Chaos (leads to Space Deck) -3 of 3: Defeat all the Heavy Walkers (leads to Laser Station) -Reach the reactor's core (Brock and Erika can't be present) -Rendezvous with Erika at Level 5 (Brock must be present) -Rendezvous with Brock at Level 5 (Erika must be present) -Duel Erika (Brock must be present) -Duel Brock (Erika must be present) -Escort Erika to the reactor's core (Brock must be present) -Escort Brock to the reactor's core (Erika must be present) -Defeat the Reactor Defense Fortress -Reach the monorail train to the next area
All objectives prior to "Reach the reactor's core", plus "Defeat the Reactor Defense Fortress", are untweaked.
If Brock or Erika is part of the team, you'll have to face off against the other regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort <target> to the reactor's core", where <target> is Brock or Erika depending on who was fought in the dueling objective, if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Reach the reactor's core". For "Reach the monorail train to the next area", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Star Gardens: -Find the three hidden switches -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 4: Finish using any character (leads to Space Shuffle) -2 of 4: Defeat all the Artificial Chaos (leads to Star Flight) -3 of 4: Finish using only L Button actions (leads to Laser Station) -4 of 4: Finish using only R Button Actions (leads to Space Deck) -Enter the secret transport network
The first four listed objectives are untweaked.
If going for objective 3 of 4 or objective 4 of 4, all players must complete the stage without using the action in question. If just one player uses the action in question, that objective can't be cleared. For "reach the secret transport network", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Starlight Expressway: -Cross the high-speed hover traffic -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 4: Finish using any character (leads to Space Shuffle) -2 of 4: Clear the stage without collecting any Potions (leads to Star Flight) -3 of 4: Complete the stage without collecting any X's (leads to Laser Station) -4 of 4: Don't take damage while driving (leads to Space Deck) -Reach the monorail station
The first three listed objectives are untweaked.
In the two-player game, player 1 is the driver of the initial hovercar; player 2 is a passenger and needs do nothing. Subsequent hovercars have the first player aboard as the driver and the other player as the passenger. In the four-player game, hovercars come in pairs, with players 1 and 2 as the initial drivers and players 3 and 4 as their initial passengers; subsequent hovercars work similarly as in the two-player game.
If going for objective 2 of 4 or objective 3 of 4, all players must complete the stage without picking up the items in question. If just one player picks up an item in question, that objective can't be cleared. If going for objective 4 of 4, no hovercar is permitted to take damage while being driven; if even one hovercar takes damage with a driver, that objective can't be cleared.
For "Reach the monorail station", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Astro Platform: -Battle the Star City robots in each arena -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 4: Clear 5 arenas (leads to Space Shuffle) -2 of 4: Clear 10 arenas (leads to Star Flight) -3 of 4: Clear 15 arenas (leads to Laser Station) -4 of 4: Clear more than 15 arenas (leads to Space Deck) -Defeat rival in the last arena -Take the shuttle to the next area
Only the last two listed objectives are tweaked.
Special note for this stage: You are not allowed to create a team that pairs up a character and their normal opponent for "Defeat rival in the last arena". For example, you can't pair up Milane/Jason here despite the pair normally being permissible in all other instances, nor can you take in the Harrison/Tyson-HL/Morrison triad along with Ritchie since Harrison/Tyson-TL are normally opponents in the last arena.
For the "Defeat rival in the last arena" objective, you'll be facing either two or four opponents in the co-operative modes; the number of opponents depends on the number of players. The fight pairings remain intact--for example, a two-player outing with Aeris-K/Lunick will have Whitney/Jackie as the opponents, while the lineup card for a four-player Drew/Harley/Robert/Casey outing would be Zoey/Kenny/Solidad/Ritchie. All opponents must be defeated to clear this objective, but it matters not whom attacks whom. Additionally, all players will be escorted to player 1's corner arena for the fight, even if players ended up in different corner arenas. As such, the fight will not begin until each player has reached a corner arena.
For the "Take the shuttle to the next area" task, all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
THIRD STAGES: [SIZE=1[Note that Rhonda and the Sinnoh Now crew does not show up in the co-operative modes. This affects all stages in this grouping.[/SIZE] Space Shuffle: -Collect six Star Shards -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 4: Clear the stage using a male character (leads to Cosmic Highway) -2 of 4: Clear the stage without using hints (leads to Cosmic Gadget) -3 of 4: Clear the stage using a female character (leads to Space Plant) -4 of 4: Clear the stage without collecting any Potions (leads to Star Maze) -Defeat the Super Attack Cube -Take the shuttle to the next area
All non-numbered objectives other than the final listed objective are tweaked.
If using teams consisting of both males and females (i.e. Blaine/Flannery), objective 1 of 4 and objective 3 of 4 are not accessible. Teams must be all of the same gender (i.e. Brock/Roark or Erika/Gardenia) in order to tackle those objectives in the co-operative modes. Note that only the actual gender factors; Duplica can still disguise herself as a male character and remain eligible for objective 3 of 4 if on an all-female team.
If going for objective 2 of 4, if even one player uses a hint, that objective can't be cleared. If going for objective 4 of 4, if even one player touches a potion, that objective can't be cleared.
For "Take the shuttle to the next area", all players must meet this objective in order to clear the stage.
Star Flight: -Cross the space walkways -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 4: Defeat at least 20 Star City robots (leads to Cosmic Highway) -2 of 4: Clear the stage without crossing any ambush checkpoints (leads to Cosmic Gadget) -3 of 4: Complete the stage within 9:00:00 (leads to Space Plant) -4 of 4: Collect 15 powerups (leads to Star Maze) -Climb the Space Wall -Defeat the Laser Jet -Take the shuttle to the next area
Only the 2 of 4, 3 of 4, and final listed objectives are tweaked.
If going for objective 2 of 4, if even one player makes use of an ambush checkpoint, that objective can't be cleared. If going for objective 3 of 4, all players must complete the stage within the allotted time. If just one player takes too long, that objective can't be cleared.
For "Take the shuttle to the next area", all players must meet this objective in order to clear this stage.
Laser Station: -Navigate the laser research station -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 3: Defeat all the Team Draco robots (leads to Cosmic Highway) -2 of 3: Finish without your health going below half (leads to Cosmic Gadget) -3 of 3: Defeat 100 Laser Discs (leads to Space Plant) -Reach the shuttle station (Eusine and Luka can't be present) -Rendezvous with Luka at Level 4 (Eusine must be present) -Rendezvous with Eusine at Level 4 (Luka must be present) -Duel Luka (Eusine must be present) -Duel Eusine (Luka must be present) -Escort Luka to the shuttle station (Eusine must be present) -Escort Eusine to the shuttle station (Luka must be present)
All listed objectives starting with the 2 of 3 objective are tweaked with the exception of the 3 of 3 objective.
If going for objective 2 of 3, if any player's health drops below half (the line is 200 HP when factoring in all upgrades), that objective can't be cleared.
If Eusine or Luka is part of the team, you'll have to face off against the other regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort <target> to the shuttle station", where <target> is Eusine or Luka depending on who was fought in the dueling objective, if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Reach the shuttle station". For "Reach the shuttle station", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Space Deck: -Clear the four maze decks -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 4: Defeat at least 20 Star City robots (leads to Cosmic Highway) -2 of 4: Defeat at least 30 Artificial Chaos (leads to Cosmic Gadget) -3 of 4: Defeat at least 20 Hover Launchers (leads to Space Plant) -4 of 4: Defeat at least 60 Star City robots (leads to Star Maze) -Take the shuttle to the next area
Only the final listed objective is tweaked.
For "Take the shuttle to the next area", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
FOURTH STAGES: Cosmic Highway: -Soar through the space pathways -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 4: Clear the stage using a male character (leads to Techno Gadget) -2 of 4: Complete the stage within 5:00:00 (leads to Meteor Base) -3 of 4: Clear the stage using a female character (leads to Cosmic Flower) -4 of 4: Defeat at least 40 Star City robots (leads to Star Database) -Reach the shuttle
All listed objectives starting with the 1 of 4 objective are tweaked with the exception of the 4 of 4 objective.
If going for objective 2 of 4, all players must complete the stage within the allotted time. If just one player takes too long, that objective can't be cleared.
For "Reach the shuttle", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Cosmic Gadget: -Navigate the gravity spaceways -Defeat at least 20 Team Draco guards before the train -1 of 4: Defeat at least 30 Team Draco robots (leads to Techno Gadget) -2 of 4: Defeat at least 40 Gravity Accelerators (leads to Meteor Base) -3 of 4: Follow the designated path to the train (leads to Cosmic Flower) -4 of 4: Don't run into any Gravity Capsules (leads to Star Database) -Reach the gravity train in time -Navigate the train -Reach the shuttle station
All listed objectives starting with the 3 of 4 objective are tweaked, with the exception of "Navigate the train".
If going for objective 3 of 4, all players must follow the path. If even one player deviates, that objective can't be cleared. If going for objective 4 of 4, if a player runs into a Gravity Capsule, that objective can't be cleared. All players must meet up to clear "Reach the gravity train in time" and again to clear "Reach the shuttle station".
Space Plant: -Reach the satellite control station -Defeat at least 20 Team Draco guards -1 of 3: Defeat at least 20 Team Draco robots (leads to Techno Gadget) -2 of 3: Complete the stage without collecting any X's (leads to Meteor Base) -3 of 3: Complete the stage without using a Max Revive (leads to Cosmic Flower) -Find the shuttle station (Misty and Bugsy can't be present) -Rendezvous with Bugsy at the control station (Misty must be present) -Rendezvous with Misty at the control station (Bugsy must be present) -Duel Bugsy (Misty must be present) -Duel Misty (Bugsy must be present) -Escort Bugsy to the shuttle station (Misty must be present) -Escort Misty to the shuttle station (Bugsy must be present)
All listed objectives starting with the 2 of 3 objective are tweaked.
If going for objective 2 of 3, if even one player collects an X item, that objective can't be cleared. Each player will run into a Max Revive, and this comes into play for objective 3 of 3: if a player has to use theirs, the objective can't be completed.
If Misty or Bugsy is part of the team, you'll have to face off against the other regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort <target> to the shuttle station", where <target> is Misty or Bugsy depending on who was fought in the dueling objective, if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Find the shuttle station". For "Find the shuttle station", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Star Maze: -Navigate the puzzling maze -Defeat the Team Draco guards -1 of 3: Clear the stage using any character (leads to Techno Gadget) -2 of 3: Defeat at least 40 Team Draco robots (leads to Cosmic Flower) -3 of 3: Follow the designated path to the center (leads to Meteor Base) -Defeat the Atomic Complex (Casey and Ritchie can't be present) -Reach the shuttle dock in the center of the maze (Casey and Ritchie can't be present) -Rendezvous with Ritchie at the Atomic Complex battle site (Casey must be present) -Rendezvous with Casey at the Atomic Complex battle site (Ritchie must be present) -Duel Ritchie (Casey must be present) -Duel Casey (Ritchie must be present) -Escort Ritchie to the shuttle dock (Casey must be present) -Escort Casey to the shuttle dock (Ritchie must be present)
All listed objectives starting with the 3 of 3 objective are tweaked.
If going for objective 3 of 3, all players must follow the path. If even one player deviates, that objective can't be cleared.
If Casey or Ritchie is part of the team, you'll have to face off against the other instead of the Atomic Complex regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort <target> to the shuttle dock", where <target> is Casey or Ritchie depending on who was fought in the dueling objective, if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Reach the shuttle dock in the center of the maze". For "Reach the shuttle dock in the center of the maze", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
FIFTH STAGES: Techno Gadget: -Navigate the technological maze -Defeat the Team Draco guards -Reach the hidden prison complex -Free Alicia Hartache
Only the third listed objective is tweaked.
All players must meet "Reach the hidden prison complex" in order to clear the mission; however, only one player need meet "Free Alicia Hartache".

Only the final listed objective is tweaked.
All players must clear "Take shuttle to highest city dome" in order to clear the mission.
Cosmic Flower: -Navigate the mechanical garden -Defeat the Team Draco guards -Protect each of the biospherical units -Reach the central control systems -Reach the shuttle station (Trixie and Samantha can't be present) -Find the Flower's center (Trixie or Samantha must be present) -Rendezvous with Samantha in the center (Trixie must be present) -Rendezvous with Trixie in the center (Samantha must be present) -Duel Samantha (Trixie must be present) -Duel Trixie (Samantha must be present) -Escort Samantha to the shuttle station (Trixie must be present) -Escort Trixie to the shuttle station (Samantha must be present) -Defeat the Space Genesis -Take shuttle to the highest city dome
All objectives starting with "Reach the shuttle station" are tweaked with the exception of "Defeat the Space Genesis."
If Trixie or Samantha is part of the team, you'll have to face off against the other regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort <target> to the shuttle station", where <target> is Trixie or Samantha depending on who was fought in the dueling objective, if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective change to "Reach the shuttle station". For "Take shuttle to highest city dome", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
Star Database: -Navigate Star City's data systems -Defeat the Team Draco guards -Activate Data Station 1 -Activate Data Station 2 -Activate Data Station 3 -Download information on the Space Shield Network -Activate Data Station 4 -Activate Data Station 5 -Activate Data Station 6 -Send data information to Professor Oak -Rendezvous with Electra at the transmission site (Volkner must be present) -Rendezvous with Volkner at the transmission site (Electra must be present) -Duel Electra (Volkner must be present) -Duel Volkner (Electra must be present) -Escort Electra to transport site (Volkner must be present) -Escort Volkner to transport site (Electra must be present) -Take transport to next area
The last seven listed objectives are tweaked.
If Volkner or Electra is part of the team, you'll have to face off against the other regardless of the other people on the team.
For "Escort <target> to the transport site", where <target> is Volkner or Electra depending on who was fought in the dueling objective, if one player meets that condition and the others still haven't, the first player clears the stage and the other players will see that objective vanish. For "Take transport to next area", all players must meet this objective to clear the stage.
FINAL STAGES: Automation Tower: -Climb the high-tech tower -Defeat the Team Draco Grunts -Reach the top of the tower -Rescue Professor Hartache -Defeat Murphy -Activate transport stations to lowest dome
All objectives are untweaked.
Final Cannon: -Descend down the Solaris Cannon complex -Defeat the Team Draco Grunts -Defeat Vikki
All objectives are untweaked.
Central Core: Area 1: -Reach the core of Star City -Reach the containment ring systems -Defeat Rachel -Open door to the next area
Only the final objective is tweaked.
For "Open door to the next area", only one player needs to actually open the door; however, all players must get through in order to clear the stage.
Area 2: -Disable containment station 1 -Disable containment station 2 -Disable containment station 3 -Disable containment station 4 -Disable containment station 5 -Disable containment station 6 -Disable containment station 7 -Disable containment station 8 -Defeat Dralene
Only the final objective is untweaked.
In the two-player game, 1P takes on the odd-numbered containment stations, while 2P takes on the even-numbered ones. Characters do not switch out until both containment stations in a pair are disabled. The character 1P uses to take on the final objective is the one who disables containment station 7, while 2P uses the one who disables containment station 8. Keep in mind that only one player is needed to start the battle due to no switchout being necessary, meaning that Dralene could be defeated before the other player disables their last containment station.
In the two-player game, 1P takes on containment stations 1 and 5, 2P takes on stations 2 and 6, 3P takes on stations 3 and 7, and 4P takes on stations 4 and 8. Characters do not switch out until all four containment stations in a quartet are disabled. The character 1P uses to take on the final objective is the one who disables containment station 5, while 2P uses the one who disables station 6, 3P uses the one who disables station 7, and 4P uses the one who disables station 8. Keep in mind that only one player is needed to start the battle due to no switchout being necessary, meaning that Dralene could be defeated before up to three other players disable their last containment stations.
Area 3: -Defeat the Cosmic Phoenix -Stop Star City's descent
Neither objective is tweaked.
In the two-player game, player 1 is flying the Star Shuttle and controls the footing holds, while player 2 controls the weapon. Player 1 should concentrate on flying and securing the ship, while player 2 should concentrate on firing the weapon. In the four-player game, player 1 is flying the Star Shuttle, player 2 controls the weapon, and player 3 controls the footing holds; player 4 is merely a passenger and needs do nothing. Player 1 should concentrate on flying, player 2 should concentrate on firing the weapon, and player 3 should concentrate on securing the ship.
BONUS STAGES: Star City Raceway -Wreck the local goons' vehicles before 15 laps are completed
The lone objective is untweaked.
In the two-player game, player 1 is driving the Mach 101, but player 2 controls the weapons. Player 1 should concentrate on driving, while player 2 should concentrate on destroying the enemy cars. In the four-player game, there are two Mach 101s (the second one doesn't have either Milane's niece or a Chimchar in the trunk), with player 1 and player 2 as the drivers, and player 3 and player 4 are their respective weapon controllers. The drivers should concentrate on driving, while the weapon controllers should concentrate on destroying the enemy cars. In the four-player game, it doesn't matter which player destroys an enemy car, just that an enemy car is destroyed and both cars remaining intact.
Galactic Chaos -Defeat the Artificial Perfect Chaos within 15:00
The lone objective is untweaked.
One player could fight the monster alone and the others just sit there. Having the others, however, can come in handy when fighting the monster.
