As you already know, a game needs enemies for it to function, and Pokémon Peace Squad delivers you dozens of them! While you’ll end up having to contend with countless human enemies, you also have the threat of lots of robots from every organization you contend with. With all these enemies to contend with, you’ll need a guide for them.
A quick note on enemies: Human enemies (such as Grunts) are part of an objective and need to be defeated to complete the mission. Robot enemies, however, are completely optional (unless you need to defeat them to open doors or cages).
Here’s a breakdown on how to read an enemy, step by step.
//TMA-01 Camerupt Tank// This is the name of enemy. Note that robots use codes in their names much like Eggman’s E-Series or GUN’s robots. In this case, “TMA” stands for Team Magma while “01” means it’s the first robot in the series.
Found: Red Mountain, Magma Lab This is where the enemy is found, simple as that.
Health: 50 This is the base HP of the enemy. Characters with a higher Power rating (such as Chuck) can take it down with only 1 or two hits, while those with a low Power rating (like Aeris-K) may have to repeatedly attack it before it goes down.
Info: These are a staple in Team Magma’s robot divisions. Built for lava attacks, they reside in pools of magma, waiting for an intruder to come by, then rise from the lava and erupt flame and magma all over the place. Because of this, they’re usually only passed by since they’re away from solid ground. Normal variations are already a threat with their volcanic eruptions, but shiny ones have 2/5 more HP and also cause earthquakes that also cause lava waves and fire blue variations have 4/5 more HP and also fire flamethrowers in all directions. This is some information on the enemy, which includes its environment, attacks, and other things.
Extra Info: The Camerupt Tank is 2.7 meters tall and long, 1.2 meters wide, and weighs 750 kilograms. Its volcanic humps can absorb any lava around them and use them for weapons. This is basically eyecatcher flavor text about the enemy, including height, weight, and other trivial information.
Attack 1: Eruption – Thousands of pounds of fire and lava burst from the volcanic humps, spreading everywhere and leaving small lava puddles that quickly go away. <20 damage> This is the description of an attack. It includes how the attack works and how much damage it does. Characters with a high Defense rating (like Jasmine) will take less damage from the attack, while characters with a low Defense rating (like Aeris-K) take more damage.
Attack 2: Earthquake – Creates a shockwave that damages if touched. Also creates small lava waves in any lava nearby. These waves can sweep the ground, so be careful. <30 damage> This is the same setup as the attack above.
Attack 3: Flamethrowers – Fires up to eight streams of fire from both volcanic humps. The streams are fired horizontally, so this is avoided by not jumping. <20 damage> This is the same setup as the attack above.

When it comes to Team Magma, get ready to fight fire with fire (or more actually, water). Team Magma’s robots are built for and capable of surviving deep in molten lava. A lot of their attacks can burn you, and that causes your Power stat to decrease, so be careful.
//Team Magma Grunt// Found: Forest Highway, Red Mountain, Magma Lab Health: 20 (Forest Highway), 30 (Red Mountain), 40 (Magma Lab) Info: These are Team Magma’s peons, used to do the majority of Team Magma’s dirty work. For the first enemies you face, they are equipped with various weapons that can be deadly if you don’t defeat them quickly. The strongest Grunts are used to protect the Magma Lab and have the best of Team Magma’s weapons. Attack 1: Punch – It’s just a punch thrown at you. It doesn’t do too much damage and tends to be used when the Grunt becomes unarmed or has none to begin with. <5 damage> Weapon 1: Vulcan Rifle – A handheld version of a Vulcan-based weapon, this rapid-fire gun can cut you down quickly if you don’t take out the Grunt using it right away. <5 damage per bullet> Weapon 2: Flame Grenade Launcher – A red-colored grenade launcher that fires flaming rounds that create fiery explosions upon impact and burn you. <20 damage, may also burn> Weapon 3: Flamethrower – A handheld flamethrower that creates a stream of flame at you. More damaging that the previous weapons and can burn. <10 damage per second, may also burn> Weapon 4: FAC-16 - This is a powerful assault rifle that has several functions; including a silencer, a zoom scope, and also doubles as a grenade launcher. <5 damage per bullet, 20 damage grenade> Weapon 5: Fire Mine – This is a special mine used by Team Magma that a guard may throw upon the ground. Upon being touched, it explodes, also burning you. <40 damage, also burns> Weapon 6: Magma Bazooka – Created by Team Magma, the Magma Bazooka fires molten blasts at a target. However, the shots travel slowly, but are still dangerous. The Magma Bazooka looks like a large, red-colored pipe bazooka with a laser target on the top. <30 damage> Weapon 7: Magma Cannon – An upgraded version of the Magma Bazooka, the Magma Cannon’s molten blasts are bigger and even leave behind a puddle of magma upon impact. However, the shots still travel slow. The Magma Cannon resembles a Magma Bazooka with a circle of smaller cylinders at the back of the gun. <40 damage> Weapon 8: Magma Cluster – Team Magma’s strongest weapon, the Magma Cluster fires a molten shot that explodes into several firebomb-like balls that rain down everywhere, making them harder to dodge than the Magma Bazooka or cannon. The Magma Cannon resembles a Magma Bazooka, except that it has a loading attachment on the bottom and the front of it resembles that of a chaingun. <20 damage per explosion> Shield: Magma Shield – A red reflective shield used by Magma Grunts, the Magma Shield blocks all attacks and sends Fire-type attacks back at you. You must strike the Grunt directly with a homing attack to get rid of the shield and make the Grunt vulnerable.
//TMA-01 Camerupt Tank// Found: Red Mountain, Magma Lab Health: 50 Info: These are a staple in Team Magma’s robot divisions. Built for lava attacks, they reside in pools of magma, waiting for an intruder to come by, then rise from the lava and erupt flame and magma all over the place. The streams are fired horizontally, so this is avoided by not jumping. <20 damage>
//TMA-02 Mechcargo// Found: Red Mountain, Magma Lab Health: 30 Info: This is another widely used Team Magma robot. These Magcargo-like mechs are mostly composed of flowing lava that absorbs most attacks. The cyber shell on its back is the only vulnerable point. Touching the hot magma body will cause you to lose 10 health. Also, if you use a Water attack on it, while it won’t damage it, it’ll cause the lava to cool and harden, allowing you to defeat it quickly with a single homing attack. Regular ones only send out lava waves, while shiny variations have 1/3 more HP and also shoot molten flares at you, and yellow-orange ones have 2/3 more HP and can send out large fire waves. Extra Info: The Mechcargo has a length and height of 1.5 meters and weighs 150 kilograms. It can melt its magma body into other bodies of magma much like a Vaporeon can melt into water using Acid Armor. Attack 1: Lava Spread – Discharges a large lava flow in all directions. The molten rock will also flow down walls. <20 damage if touched> Attack 2: Magma Flare – Fires a molten flame towards your direction, exploding upon hitting its target. <30 damage, may also burn> Attack 3: Flame Burst – Sends a large wave of flame in all directions. Knocks you back a bit if hit by the flaming surge. <20 damage>
//TMA-03 Mecha Torkoal// Found: Forest Highway, Red Mountain, Magma Lab Health: 30 Info: A widely used ground sentry of Team Magma, the Mecha Torkoals provide a fiery wall to intruders like you, but can also easily be dispatched. They don’t move from their position, so damaging them is simple. The normal ones only fire flame rings, while the shiny ones have 1/3 more HP and can also use fire to defend themselves, and the green ones have 2/3 more HP and fire waves of intense heat as well. Extra Info: The Mecha Torkoal has a shell length of 1.5 meters and weighs 150 kilograms. It’s also capable of trudging through and even swimming in molten lava. Attack 1: Flame Ring – Fires a large ring of fire towards your direction. Attack looks similar to that of the turtle robots from Sonic Heroes. The ring can be jumped through. <10 damage> Attack 2: Hot Defense – Withdraws into its shell and glows red hot. Fire surges across its body and all attacks (including water-type attacks) are deflected. Cannot be hurt until it comes back out. <20 damage if touched> Attack 3: Heat Wave – Charges up, then fires a wide wave of heat in every direction. The hot wave must be jumped to avoid. May also burn. <30 damage, may also burn>
//TMA-04 Hover Houndoom// Found: Magma Lab Health: 50 Info: These are more advanced robots used by Team Magma. They hover in midair and fly and move much like Rush does in his Rush Jet form. Their primary attack is firing homing fireballs your way, but they carry more attacks as well. Normal ones only fire fireballs at you, while shiny versions have 1/5 more HP and also fire arrays of red-hot lasers and magenta/indigo ones carry 2/5 more HP and fire heat rays at you that can be very damaging. Extra Info: The Hover Houndoom is 1.8 meters long and weighs 150 kilograms. Team Magma Grunts sometimes use them for air travel similar to Extreme Gear or the Rush Jet. Attack 1: Homing Flame – Fires a fireball at you that homes in on you. You can try running from it but it’s no use. <20 damage> Attack 2: Hot Lasers – Fires several small red lasers from its mouth in a wide range, making them hard to dodge. <10 damage per laser> Attack 3: Heat Cannon – A large red beam of intense heat is fired on you. The blast creates a hot spot on the ground where it impacts and may burn you. <20 damage per second, may also burn> **- Hijackable by Duplica: Controls: Control Pad Up, ascends; Control Pad Down, descends; L; fires Homing Flame/Hot Lasers/Heat Cannon; R, dismounts.
//TMA-05 Lairon Rover// Found: Forest Highway, Red Mountain, Magma Lab Health: 30 Info: A staple in Team Magma’s ground troops, Lairon Rovers have tank treads and jets in the back for movement. They’re also heavily armored and may take a little more effort to destroy. Normal ones are known for simply trying to ram you, while shiny variations have 1/3 more health and also fire spiked balls at you from their mouths, and green versions have 2/5 more health and fire bombs at you.
