Cutscene: We go to a white screen as the whiteness slowly fades away. The chosen character comes to and wonders what has just happened. Everything feels surreal and as the character looks up into the sky, they see a startling sight. A dimensional rift cuts the sky in two vertically, with the left half day and the right half night. Along the left side of the tear is half the sun while on the right side of the tear is half the moon. The chosen character tries to piece together what has just happened when he or she sees an aircraft of sorts descend onto the ground near him or her.

Cutscene: After being deposited on the shore of a beach, the chosen character watches the flying base take off before looking forward. He or she takes off along the beach unaware that they're being watched by what looks like Mewtwo, who says that the chosen character must be ready for what is to come.
