Cutscene: We go the observation room where Giovanni is as he asks for an update on the superweapon. Dr. Zeger appears on one of the screens and explains that with 75% of the Master Emerald complete, they can now go forth with the second demonstration of the sun. Giovanni explains that even though the actual Master Emerald shattered when he split the universe, he gathered enough data on it to be able to make his own through technological means. He adds on that once that Master Emerald is complete, the sun's power will be able to surge through the multiple dimensions, and the world, spread throughout the dimensions, will be his to forge, his to dominate, his to rule. With that, he lets out an evil laugh.
Cutscene: We go to out in space as the artificial sun nears an ocean planet. From a distance from the planet, the sun's rings start to spin at high speeds as the sun glows brightly and from where the two rings meet, a gigantic beam is fired at the planet. We go to the planet as the beam hits, penetrating the water, which explodes into steam, and the planet's surface starts to turn red as it's quickly reduced to a molten state. In seconds, we go out to the sun's point of view as the planet is now entirely a sphere of magma.
Cutscene: Back in the observation room, Giovanni is pleased with the results of the weapon, saying that it's capable of reducing entire planets to molten rock. He then adds on that however, that's nothing compared to the fullest power of the sun, and that once his Master Emerald is complete and he has Mewtwo as its focal point, then nothing, not even the Pokémon Peace Squad, will be able to stop him!
