(Upon clearing Rocket Spire)
Cutscene: We watch as the chosen character along with his or her group, Tails, Knuckles, Cloud, and Barret have entered the Mega Satellite, where they find a large octagonal platform bearing the Team Rocket symbol in the middle. Suddenly, we see a massive tank-like vehicle drop down from above and in it happens to be Giovanni, who tells the characters that he knew they would make it all the way here. The chosen character demands just what Giovanni is going to do with the Mega Satellite, with him responding instead with asking him about where they all are. Tails is wondering what Giovanni means by "where they are", but Giovanni responds with that they're all in what was once Megime City before the disaster that overtook it. He explains that he came across the fallen city and took the liberty of transforming it into his own personal base, commending himself on the massive overhaul he gave the place. The fourth character in the group is shocked to discover that this city was constructed out of what was once the center of the Megime Empire. Giovanni continues to explain that the tower they're in was built over where Megime Tower once stood and that where they're now may come off as having been a place they were in when in the past.
With his lecture about this location done, Giovanni decides to bring up Mega forms and how he will bring one out from every Pokémon at once! Using the masses of Time Crystals that he's acquired, he'll send the entire fortress back through time and use the energy from Mewtwo's Mega form to power the Mega Satellite, which he will have fire a blast that will envelop the entire world of the past and cause every Pokémon to enter a permanent Mega form. By doing this, he will change the world and make it his in the past! Cloud is disgusted that Giovanni is going to abuse the power of Mega forms for himself and that what he's planning to do will destroy the world as we know it, but Giovanni responds with "So be it!" and tells everyone that their time is up. As Alpha-Omega flies up to where Giovanni is, our heroes know what they're going to have to do.
