Barrel Cannons
Barrel-shaped cannons floating in the air similar to those in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary (and in turn, are from the Donkey Kong Country series). Cannot be destroyed.
Normal Cannon: Indicated with an arrow, these are normal Barrel Cannons. When you're ready to exit one, simply press the action button.
Auto-Fire Cannon: Indicated with an explosion symbol, you're fired out of these Barrel Cannons shortly after entering them.
Warp Cannon: Indicated with a teleport symbol, going into one will bring up a split screen of another such cannon. Pressing the action button has you fire out of the second cannon. Mainly used to take you to other areas of the stage.
One-Use Cannon: Indicated with a red X, when you fire out of one of these Barrel Cannons, it explodes, preventing you from using it again.
Blade Traps
Large obstacles borrowed from the Legend of Zelda series. Resembles a square disk with spike-like blades spinning around it. Can only be destroyed by a strong attack, Selfdestruct, or Explosion.
Blade Trap [Green]: These Blade Traps either move when you come near them or move back and forth or in a circle automatically.
Blade Trap [Red]: These Blade Traps move faster than the green variants and are capable of moving through other Blade Traps.
Blade Trap [Blue]: These Blade Traps have the same properties as the red ones, but will move towards you rather than in a set direction.
Blade Trap [Yellow]: These Blade Traps have the same properties as blue variants, but are invincible and can't be destroyed.
Key Cages
Looks like a cube that consists entirely of green laser beams that make up the edges and force fields making up all six sides. Holds something in it and cannot be destroyed. There is a robotic enemy labeled "KEY" in the stage (usually close to the corresponding Key Cage). Destroying this enemy will send out a frequency wave from it in the shape of the cage that will travel to it and cause it to open. When opened, the walls of the cage drop and whatever is in it can be used or collected.
Enemy Cages
Looks like a cube that consists entirely of red laser beams that make up the edges and force fields making up all six sides. Holds something in it and cannot be destroyed. There is a number displayed on the cage indicating the number of robotic enemies required to make it open. Destroying all enemies linked to the Enemy Cage will send out a frequency wave from it in the shape of the cage that will travel to it and cause it to open. When opened, the walls of the cage drop and whatever is in it can be used or collected.
Key Shields
A glowing green-color spherical shield that surrounds an enemy, making it immune to all attacks. There is a robotic enemy labeled "KEY" in the stage (usually close to the corresponding Key Shield). Destroying this enemy will send out a frequency wave from it in the shape of the shield that will travel to it and cause it to disappear, thus making the enemy vulnerable.

Destroying all enemies linked to the Enemy Shield will send out a frequency wave from it in the shape of the shield that will travel to it and cause it to disappear, thus making the enemy vulnerable.
Key Walls
Glowing green-color metallic walls or blocks with faint diamond grid patterns on them. Come in various shapes and sizes can cannot be destroyed. There is a robotic enemy labeled "KEY" in the stage (usually close to the corresponding Key Wall). Destroying this enemy will send out a frequency wave from it in the shape of the wall that will travel to it and cause the wall to vanish.

Barrier Lasers
Yellow color laser beams fired from tiny emitters that form glowing energy walls in between them. Tend to be set up in various patterns and shapes and cannot be destroyed. The lasers and walls can't damage you or anything else, but they block all attacks, both melee and ranged, and nullify them completely. Usually set up in combat-heavy areas to make fighting enemies more difficult.
Teleporters
Found in each stage is a special teleporter that allows the chosen character to teleport to another stage. Teleporters take you to an area of another stage that is otherwise inaccessible in that stage itself and are used to collect a MAX Crystal in that stage that can't be collected any other way. Some teleporters take you to a stage that you have yet to access, giving you a preview of what's to come. Teleporters linked to prior stages may allow you to enter the stage proper and explore it, while others restrict you to the area accessed by the teleporter.
Special Switches
Found in each stage happens to be switches that look like the ones normally seen in the game, except blue instead of red. Like normal switches, Special Switches do something or activate something in the stage, except what Special Switches do when triggered is permanent and will remain activated even after leaving the stage. Special Switches are sometimes used to activate something earlier in the stage, allowing you to take a different path or explore a different area next time you visit the stage.
Secret Warps
Found in each stage happens to be either an opening of some kind emitting multi-color sparkles or a strange swirl of multiple colors. Heading into the opening or swirl will send you to a strange area reminiscent of the secret areas in Super Mario Sunshine or the Mystic Melody warps in Pokémon Peace Squad Infinity. In these areas, you'll need to do something such as a platforming challenge, defeat certain enemies, or collect Crystal Shards, in which upon clearing such challenge, you'll be awarded with a MAX Crystal. Dropping to 0 HP, falling out of the stage, or anything similar when in a Secret Warp will send you back to the beginning of that Warp, allowing you to quickly try to complete the challenge again.
Strange Blocks
Found in each stage is a strange, large silver-color block with strange lines on it that cannot be destroyed by any means. Upon beating the game, however, these blocks disappear, revealing them to have contained MAX Crystals, thus allowing you to collect said MAX Crystals.
