Mission 1: "Make the S rank!"
Unlocked: From start
Character: Choice
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives
On Radio: Steven; Cloud (only if playing as Steven)
Mission: Get enough points in this stage to attain at least an S rank.
Detail: In this mission, your goal is to make it through the regular mission while scoring enough points to attain a high rank. In this mission, you get points for defeating enemies and also for completing objectives. Points are displayed where you'd normally find the clock in a timed objective. At the end of the stage, the points you got during the mission, as well as bonus points based on time taken and remaining health, are added up and you'll be given your ranking. If that ranking is at least S, you clear the mission.
Challenge Mode: You're given the Jenny Mode time limit of 16:30 to complete the mission. Use the Select button to switch the time display with the points display and vice versa.
Mission 2: "Take out all seven target dummies lying around the city!"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1
Character: Bruno
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives
On Radio: Lance
Mission: Destroy all seven target dummies.
Detail: Seven different target dummies have been randomly placed all over Midgar City. No, don't try looking in the Train Graveyard, as the Trixie Gate is in place and there's no dummy behind it no matter how the dummies are randomly placed. Your goal for this mission is to find and destroy all seven of those target dummies. The target dummies aren't that easy to find--they're rather well-hidden, and odds are at least one will be high up in the Shinra HQ (the elevator will only take you up to 64F) and another will be in the depths of Don Corneo's mansion, neither of them being places you actually had to go into in the main mission. In fact, you may not notice that the paths through Shinra HQ and Don Corneo's mansion are retooled from how they are normally. Once you've found and destroyed all seven of the dummies, you've cleared the mission.
Challenge Mode: There are now 14 target dummies, and a time limit of 14:00 is in place. This time limit is reduced to 11:30 if there are no target dummies placed in Shinra HQ.
Mission 3: "Defeat 45 Turk Amateurs!"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1 with silver-star rank, Clear Mission 2
Character: Gardenia
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives
On Radio: Cynthia
Mission: Defeat 45 Turk Amateurs.
Detail: In this mission, your goal is to defeat all 45 Turk Amateurs that appear in this stage for this mission. If you manage to defeat them all, you clear the mission. You can't get onto the train in this mission, thus you can't leave for Wutai.
Challenge Mode: The Turk Amateurs increase in strength to be similar to the Wutai amateurs.
Mission 4: "What if I had time to settle things before having to catch that train?"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1 with gold-star rank, Clear Mission 3
Character: Trixie
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives
On Radio: Shingo
Mission: Defeat Samantha.
Detail: For this mission, your goal is to get to where you'd normally fight Samantha and then defeat her. You need not worry about the normal objectives, just focus on getting to the ambush point. The regular cutscene will play, followed by the fight. Your goal is to defeat Samantha. If you can defeat Samantha before Samantha defeats you, then you've cleared the mission.
Challenge Mode: A time limit of 16:30 for the whole stage is in place.
Special Mission: "Corneo's at it again! Can you defeat him in his room?"
Unlocked: From start
Game Pak: Final Fantasy IV Advance (GBA) or Final Fantasy IV (DS)
Character: Harley
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives
On Radio: Tifa
Mission: Get picked as Don Corneo's bride, then defeat Don Corneo.
Detail: For this mission, Don Corneo is at it again. He's only letting females into his mansion, and one lucky lady will, hopefully, be his bride. With Tifa's assistance, your goal is to get yourself into the mansion, get picked as the bride, and proceed to defeat Don Corneo in his own room. Problem is that no matter how much Harley acts to the contrary, he's male and not permitted into the mansion. To get into the mansion, you'll need to pick up a few items along the way. Additional items are required in order to actually be picked as the bride. You'll need a dress (Cotton, Satin, or Silk) and a wig (plain, Dyed, or Blonde) to gain entrance. To earn the wig, you'll have to do squats. During the squats sequence, you'll need to alternate pressing the Y, B, and A buttons.
Of course, you don't have to stop at a dress and a wig. You can also engage in a sequence that nets you a cologne (plain, Flower, or Sexy), engage in another sequence that nets you a tiara (Glass, Ruby, or Diamond), and engage in yet another sequence that nets you underwear (Bikini Briefs or Lingerie). The sequence that nets you underwear has Cecil from Final Fantasy IV (his voice is an original casting) replacing the fat man. Once you've have the dress and wig, Tifa will tell you the location of the boutique, where you can go to change into your disguise (a cutscene prevents us from seeing Harley change into the disguise) once you've gotten the items you need. Once you're in your disguise, enter Don Corneo's mansion, where you'll face off in Cloud's position against two other contenders. One's Erika (in Tifa's position), the other's Cissy (in Aeris-FF7's position). Once you're in Don Corneo's room, Don Corneo will make his decision. Using a sample space of 279 combinations, Don Corneo will pick Erika roughly 90% of the time, with Cissy being picked roughly 9% of the time, and Harley being picked just over 1% of the time. Those are not very good odds, and you fail the mission if Harley is not chosen.
If you did manage to get Harley chosen, follow Don Corneo into his room, then launch an attack to begin the battle. Don Corneo is a rather tough adversary, but slowly but surely, you can manage to defeat him. Once Don Corneo is defeated, you've cleared the mission. Sorry, but you can't have Harley keep the clothes.
Challenge Mode: Cecil will not appear, and neither will the fat guy he replaces, meaning you can't get underwear. This eliminates many of the combinations necessary for Harley to get chosen--out of the sample space of 279 combinations, only one involves not getting underwear and Harley getting chosen.

In this mission, you get points for defeating enemies and also for completing objectives. Points are displayed where you'd normally find the clock in a timed objective. Mission 2: "Wouldn't it be great if you got Misty thrown out of the bar?"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1
Character: Bugsy
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives (Except Red), Independent Materia
On Radio: Cloud
Mission: Get Misty kicked out of Turtle's Paradise.
Detail: Here's an interesting mission. Misty's at Turtle's Paradise. Your goal is to get her actually kicked out of Turtle's Paradise. Head over to Turtle's Paradise--which has been retooled to look more like a fighting arena--and attack Misty. This will get Misty into a fighting mood. You'll now be in a duel against Misty. Keep this up for one minute and a bouncer will arrive onto the scene. The bouncer will ask who started it, and you'll pin the blame on Misty, whereas Misty pins the blame on you. The bouncer will believe the story of whomever took less damage during the one-minute duel. If you took less damage, Misty will be thrown out of the bar and you'll clear the mission. If you took equal damage, both you and Misty will be thrown out of the bar and you'll clear the mission since you did manage to get Misty thrown out. If you took more damage, then you'll be thrown out of the bar and fail the mission.
Challenge Mode: Bugsy's wearing an Inhibit Belt, and the only way to clear the mission here is if Misty and only Misty gets kicked out of the bar.
Mission 3: "Defeat 60 Turk Amateurs!"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1 with silver-star rank, Clear Mission 2
Character: Byron
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives
On Radio: Cynthia
Mission: Defeat 60 Turk Amateurs.
Detail: In this mission, your goal is to defeat all 60 Turk Amateurs that appear in this stage for this mission. If you manage to defeat them all, you clear the mission. No map appears in this mission, ergo you can't head to The Forgotten City.
Challenge Mode: The Turk Amateurs increase in strength to be similar to The Forgotten City amateurs.
Mission 4: "Sinnoh Now's in trouble! Rescue Rhonda and her crew!"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1 with gold-star rank, Clear Mission 3
Character: Roark
Upgrades Applied: Materia
On Radio: Cynthia
Mission: Rescue Rhonda and the rest of the Sinnoh Now crew from Turks.
Detail: Rhonda and her Sinnoh Now crew have come this far out in search of a scoop. They got a scoop all right--"News Crew Gets In Trouble With Turks", screams the headline. Simply put, Sinnoh Now's in trouble with the Turks and it's your job to rescue them. Turk Amateurs are holding each member of the crew hostage in different locations through the stage. Your goal is to defeat all of the Turk Amateurs near one of the crew in order to rescue that member of the crew. Be careful not to attack the crew members--if one of them hits zero HP, you fail the mission. Naturally, Rhonda has the most captors, and among that group of captors is one Turk Midlevel, an enemy that's stronger than the Turk Amateurs but not quite as strong as Reno, Rude, or Elena. Once you've defeated all of the enemies and rescued the entire crew, you've cleared the mission.
Challenge Mode: Each member of the crew has more captors, and each group except Rhonda's has one Turk Midlevel among them. Rhonda's group has three Turk Midlevels.
Special Mission: "Take the challenge of the Pagoda of Five Mighty Gods"
Unlocked: From start
Game Pak: Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls (GBA) or Final Fantasy V Advance (GBA)
Character: Maylene
Upgrades Applied: Tanks
On Radio: Yuffie
Mission: Defeat the Five Mighty Gods.
Detail: In this mission, Yuffie will guide you as you take on the Pagoda of Five Mighty Gods, and you can get there without interference. Once inside, you'll be fighting enemies in arenas that have, among generic cheering crowds, certain characters from Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, and Final Fantasy V in the crowd. (Final Fantasy II is the version found on Dawn of Souls; the US SNES release of the series under that title is actually Final Fantasy IV.) You'll be taking on Gorkii, Shake, Chekhov, Staniv, and Godo in sequence, and the only healing you'll be getting are Super Potions dropped by Gorkii and Chekhov. None of the bosses are easy, and if you're defeated by any of them, you fail the mission. You can't skip around--that is, you must fight Gorkii, then Shake, then Chekhov, then Staniv, and finally Godo. Once Godo is defeated, you've cleared the mission.
Challenge Mode: A time limit of 14:00 is in place. The clock doesn't tick away unless fighting one of the five bosses, and if it hits zero, you fail the mission.

Mission 2: "Trixie Gates everywhere! Can you keep Volkner away from the ghost?"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1
Character: Electra
Upgrades Applied: Materia
On Radio: Cloud
Mission: Beat Volkner to Aeris-FF7's ghost.
Detail: In this mission, you're in Electra's shoes, and you're going to have to navigate a maze through the stage. The maze is made up of Trixie Gates, some of the areas have been retooled for this mission, and the target you're going to have to reach is the ghost of Aeris-FF7. You're also having to race Volkner in this mission, and if Volkner reaches the ghost first, you fail the mission. If you're the one who reaches the ghost of Aeris-FF7 first, you clear the mission.
Challenge Mode: Electra's wearing an Inhibit Belt.
Mission 3: "Defeat 75 Turks!"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1 with silver-star rank, Clear Mission 2
Character: Misty
Upgrades Applied: Materia
On Radio: Gary
Mission: Defeat 65 Turk Amateurs and 10 Turk Midlevels.
Detail: In this mission, your goal is to defeat all 65 Turk Amateurs and all 10 Turk Midlevels (three of which appear as Elena impostors) that will appear in this stage for this mission. If you manage to defeat all 75 foes, you clear the mission. Looking at the pyramid does nothing in this mission.
Challenge Mode: The quota is 130 Turk Amateurs and 20 Turk Midlevels.
Mission 4: "Protect the target dummy from the Turks!"
Unlocked: Clear Mission 1 with gold-star rank, Clear Mission 3
Character: Crasher Wake, Wearing Inhibit Belt
Upgrades Applied: Materia
On Radio: Cynthia
Mission: Protect the target dummy from being destroyed. Time limit is 8:00.
Detail: For this mission, you must protect a target dummy from being destroyed by a never-ending wave of Turks. Your best shot at protecting the dummy is defeating the Turks as they come at it. More Turks come in as they're defeated, but there are pre-set spawn points, meaning any Turk defeated is positive progress. If the target dummy is destroyed, you fail the mission. If time runs out, the Turks will call off their strike and you've cleared the mission.
Challenge Mode: The time limit is increased to 14:00.
Special Mission: "Everybody else has a Mognet profile. It's time to earn yours."
Unlocked: From start
Game Pak: Final Fantasy III (DS) or Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA)
Character: Shingo
Upgrades Applied: Chaos Drives
On Radio: Rebecca (from Destiny Deoxys)
Mission: Deliver Mognet mail to every mailbox in the city before time runs out.
Detail: Upon noticing that every playable character except himself has a profile on the Mognet, Shingo has to turn to a laptop expert for advice in order to earn his. With Rebecca, a trainer from the movie Destiny Deoxys not to be confused with a now-deceased medium who communicated with the ghost of Aeris-FF7, helping him, Shingo has 10:00 in order to earn his Mognet profile, which Rebecca will program upon the completion of the task. 70 mailboxes have appeared in the city, and your goal is to drop a Mognet mail message into each and every single one. Some of the mailboxes correspond to characters from Final Fantasy III or Final Fantasy VI, and yes, Kefka is included. (Final Fantasy III is the one that didn't see a remake until the DS release; the US SNES release of the series under that title is actually Final Fantasy VI.) To drop a Mognet mail message into the mailbox, walk up to it and use the X button (the DS's action button). Simple as that. However, the clock is ticking, and if you haven't delivered all of the mail before time runs out, Shingo has failed and Rebecca will not program him a Mognet profile; you've failed your mission. Also note that both Shingo and Rebecca have a special quote said under certain conditions. Shingo's is "d**n technology", said when Shingo tries to put a message into a mailbox that already has a message in it. Rebecca's is "Hurry up, sensei!", said at certain intervals if Shingo is not at the pace he should be at.
Challenge Mode: There are 30 additional mailboxes, and the time limit is now 12:30.
