ADABAT Description: "This village is an architectural marvel, built atop the water and ringed by ancient ruins."
Music Notes: The Adabat day theme from Sonic Unleashed plays throughout the hub during the daytime. The Adabat night theme from Sonic Unleashed plays throughout the hub during the nighttime.
Cutscene: Upon arriving in Adabat, we watch as someone approaches the chosen character. As it turns out, it's Looker of the International Police. Looker explains to the chosen character that he's been assigned to investigate Team Rocket as well as other teams due to their involvement with the Super Plates. The chosen character explains to him about the attacks that Team Rocket made on Flaricia and Mazuri and some talk about "creating a world that will span all worlds". Looker theorizes that Team Rocket must be the one that wants the Plates and they will stop at nothing to get them. He'll explain that he will start looking deeper into his investigation by checking out what Team Flora is up to since they've been spotted in Adabat. Looker will also give you his number if you ever want to talk to him.
We've made it to Adabat, which is a location taken from in Sonic Unleashed and is based off of various Southeast Asian countries. The hub happens to be the same as in the Xbox360 and PS3 versions of Sonic Unleashed, but with an additional section to explore. This is, however, still a small hub, and a description for what's here is taken from mostly the daytime (since that's the time of day it is if you came here straight from Mazuri) to explain what's going on. Starting now, you can call Looker from a Pokémon Center videophone if you need to talk to him for any reason. He'll usually bring up information about the team that's in the area you're at. The same people that were in the Xbox360 and PS3 versions of Sonic Unleashed can be found throughout the hub. Right at the village entrance is a girl named Nagi who will ask just who you are and if you're playing as a character that has a Pokémon out of its Pokéball, comment on that Pokémon. If you go up to an area known as the Central Pier, you'll find a woman named Rudi who will welcome you to Adabat village, but explain that they're really just one family, all four of them, and that their ancestral home was destroyed in an earthquake some time ago and they're still picking up the pieces. If you go to an area called Shallow Waters, you'll find Teanchai in the water (it's all shallow), who explains that he's a Gate Guardian and that a group of people in green outfits went towards the shrine and stole something that was recently discovered in it after a large statue had risen up. He goes on to explain that this group also set him back with any work that he's been doing since the earthquake. If you go up to the boat house, you'll find Lambros, a man hailing from Apotos who's visiting Adabat. He'll explain that Team Rocket attacked his hometown and stole something from there. Upon hearing this, the chosen character realizes that it must have been a Plate that was there. To the left of the Flying Fish Beach shop is the Adabat Hot Dog Vendor. Near the shop is Looker, who you can talk to directly if you want. This is also when you can start doing the Looker's Investigation Missions for the game. On top of one of the houses is a Max Revive, but you won't be able to reach it until you've gotten all the Magic Materia. Here's a description of each of the places that you'll be able to visit in this hub:
Flying Fish Beach Shop: Located north to the left from where you enter the hub is the Flying Fish Beach Shop, run by Kaeo. Kaeo will explain that once they served food here as well, but that a new stand went up elsewhere in the village and to head over there for something to eat. He adds on that the food there is better than that from another restaurant that some man had just opened. Here's what you can buy from the Flying Fish Beach Shop:
Flying Fish Beach Shop Photo Frame (Adabat): 500p Miniature Flag (Adabat): 500p Anji Sculpture: 750p Chehaya Charm: 800p
You'll notice a dock going west in the middle of the hub. If you go down this path, you'll reach a new area of the hub with a ring of Adabat-style houses around an island in the center. This is called Adabat Square. If you go under the northwest house and out onto the water behind it, you'll find the hub's Invincibility. Here's a description of each place you can go to here:
Pokémon Center: The southwest house happens to be a Pokémon Center, which has an interior much like most other Pokémon Centers despite the exterior. There's nothing special about this particular Pokémon Center.
Poké Mart: The northwest house is the hub's Poké Mart, which just like the Pokémon Center has an interior like most Poké Marts despite the exterior. Here's the inventory for this particular Poké Mart:
Poké Mart Potion: 100p** Super Potion: 250p** Burn Heal: 150p* Antidote: 150p* Chesto/Persim Juice: 150p* Eye Coffee: 150p* X Health: 200p X Attack: 200p X Defend: 200p X Speed: 200p X Jump: 200p Foresight Scope: 300p** Hindsight Scope: 300p** Gravity Scope: 300p** H2-SO4 Scope: 300p** Miracle-Eye Scope: 300p** Reverse-Lightningrod Scope: 300p** White Herb: 500p** *-Stored in your inventory until either selected or status condition that the item cures afflicts the chosen character (in which case it's used automatically). **-Stored in your inventory until selected.
Shore Delicacies: The southern house holds a food shop called Shore Delicacies, where a man named Vieto will sell you the food once at the Flying Fish Beach Shop. Here's the list for what you can buy at Shore Delicacies:
Shore Delicacies Tropic Juice: 150p Molsk: 150p Live Honker: 300p Chili Dog: 250p Black Bean Sauce: 150p Catfish: 300p Sparkle Gelatin: 150p Banana: 200p Peach: 150p Grapes: 200p
Moe's Restaurant: The northern house happens to be a restaurant that you can head inside. You'll discover that at the counter is Moe, a man seen in the Pokémon episode "Beauty and the Beach", known for truly being the first banned episode due to a scene involving James. An edited version was later shown in the US, but only twice. Anyway, Moe brings up that ever since he left Porta Vista to travel the world, he has set up a few restaurants in various locations. (You get special conversions if you're playing as Ash, Misty, or Brock.) If you're playing as Misty, he'll bring up about how he once said that she reminded him of his granddaughter, but that since the time he last saw them, that granddaughter changed her look quite a bit. He brings up that she grew out her hair, now dyes it black, and has a habit about trying to attract guys on vacation. Moe finishes off with the fact that last he heard from her she was vacationing in Aquamuda, spending time of a tiny island all by herself. (Just in case you're a little clueless, Ayana back in Aquamuda is Moe's granddaughter.) Moe will bring up that at the time, he only has the kind of food he once served at his main restaurant back in Porta Vista and that you might not like it too much. Jamal, a guy seen in the hub in Sonic Unleashed is here during the day and will tell you that he doesn't think too fondly of the food served here. Here's the list for what you can buy at Moe's Restaurant:
Moe's Restaurant French Fried Flounder: 250p Seven Layer Crab Cake: 350p Squid on a Stick: 300p Clam Juice Snow Cone: 200p Sardine Platter: 200p Anchovy Seaweed Wrap: 200p Grilled Magikarp: 150p Snakehead Delight: 200p Fish Slurry: 150p Brine Soda: 150p Note: Upon purchasing an item from this shop, the chosen character will make a comment on how it tastes. The first time you buy such an item, he or she will bring up that at least the food here is better than specific Egg-related food.
Adabat Inn: The western house turns out to be a sort of hotel that you can stay at. If you head inside and talk to the woman (Chiya) at the counter, you'll be able to rent a vacant room. As with the other hotels, when you go inside that room, the time of day will change.
If you go north ands to the right from where you enter the hub, you'll end up in the area where you were able to enter the hub's stages in the Xbox360 and PS3 versions of Sonic Unleashed, except there's no loading or screen transitions. The first thing you may notice upon coming here is the hub's Upgrade Shop. Here's a list of what you'll now be able to buy at any Upgrade Shop:
Upgrade Shop Green Chaos Drive: 200p; increases user's jump height/distance slightly (this includes Liza's R button superjump). When all 16 are bought, total boost is by 1.5x normal value (up to 16 can be bought). Red Chaos Drive: 200p; increases user's speed slightly. When all 16 are bought, total boost is by 1.5x normal value (up to 16 can be bought). Purple Chaos Drive: 200p; increases user's attack power slightly. When all 16 are bought, total boost is by 1.5x normal value (up to 16 can be bought). Blue Chaos Drive: 200p; increases user's total HP slightly. When all 16 are bought, user's total HP is doubled (up to 16 can be bought). Yellow Chaos Drive: 200p; increases user's defense slightly. When all 16 are bought, total boost is by 1.5x normal value (up to 16 can be bought). Red Program: 1500p; increases the amount of damage you do to enemies while homing attacking by 10%. Orange Program: 1500p; increases the amount of damage you do to enemies with combinations by 10%. Yellow Program: 1500p; increases the amount of damage you do to enemies with slide attacks by 10%. Green Program: 1500p; increases the amount of damage you do to enemies while in Mach Speed Mode by 10%. Blue Program: 1500p; increases the amount of damage you do to enemies while hydroplaning (skating along water) by 10%. Violet Program: 1500p; increases the amount of damage you do to enemies with basic punches by 10%. In addition to this, any character-exclusive items belonging to any character you've unlocked so far are also available.
Anyway, you'll notice a large shrine far out in the water north and a broken, tilted stone path leading to it. This happens to be the hub's Alpha Gate. Simply head along the path until the screen fades out to enter the Gate.
Alpha Gate: This happens to be the Adabat Gaia Gate seen in the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed, except with a few differences near the back. For one, there's now a large Mythica statue overlooking the lower part of the shrine and second, there's now an octagonal symbol in front of the second door that will activate once the boss for this Episode is defeated. If it's daytime, the first door will be lighted up, so head into it to go into Adabat's first stage.
Hub Missions: Here's a list of the missions for the Adabat Hub:
Paris's Exhibition: Once the Paris's Exhibition mission in Flaricia is cleared, you'll find Paris and her Lopunny at the center of the entrance stage area. Paris happens to be wearing a long grass hula skirt and has a ring of magenta flowers along the brim, a coconut top, orange flower lei, and a red tropical flower on the left side of her hair, and Lopunny is wearing a Bellossom-style outfit. Paris says that her next line of Pokémon and human fashion is the Bellossom Hula Skirt, of a Bellossom-like hula skirt, leaf-like top, and Bellossom-like flowers for the hair, something that she's testing out here before she heads to somewhere else tropical to show it off there. If you're playing as a female character whose listed age is anywhere between 14 and 28, you'll be able to partake in another mission where you and your Pokémon wear the Bellossom Hula Skirt. This mission puts you in the Jungle Joyride stage where you must destroy each Cherrim Pod that is found in the stage. Once you've cleared this mission, Paris will consider the Bellossom Hula Skirt a success and depart for the next part of her World Exhibition tour.
Sunflorazumarill: Here are both of the locations where Sunflorazumarill can be found in the Adabat Hub:
Day: You can go into the water underneath Shore Delicacies. In the water near the back of the house but still under it is Sunflorazumarill. If you talk to her, she'll give you 1500p and an X Health. You can go to her again once you've cleared a stage for more money and an X Health.
Night: At night, go to Shallow Waters and head out as far as you can. At the absolute edge of where you can go in you'll find Sunflorazumarill in the water. Talk to her for Art Book ##.
As Cissy: If you're visiting the hub as Cissy for the first time, the second you enter the entrance stage area you'll notice Danny and get a short cutscene, where Cissy sees Danny in the center of the area. A harsh scene follows (the harshest out of all rivalry battles, just like in the previous games), and a duel begins where it appears that Cissy has to defeat Danny.
BOSS BATTLE: Danny When fighting Danny, the Vs. Character boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays. When Danny is defeated, the Town Mission Clear music theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays.
Danny's method of attacking is to constantly run around the place, occasionally stopping to bring out Nidoqueen for Earthquake, Scyther for Cut, or Machoke for Bullet Punch. That is a pretty straightforward battle, so I think you can handle this. Just remember to jump to dodge Earthquake.
Once this fight is finished, you'll be able to continue with what you were doing. You'll get an Emblem for defeating Danny and will be able to fight this battle again anytime you wish from the Stage Select area on the World Map. If you come into the hub for the first time as Danny, you'll have to fight the battle from the other side. You'll also get an Emblem for this battle and can select it whenever you wish.
BOSS BATTLE: Cissy When fighting Cissy, the Vs. Character boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays. When Cissy is defeated, the Town Mission Clear music theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays.

Jungle Joyride
Description: "The amazing ruins of Adabat. From the coastline to the waterfalls, get ready for a wild ride!" Objectives: -Sprint along Adabat's sunken ruins
-Defeat the Team Flora guards -Escape from the Treeagle Fighter -Avoid the Rocket Sawcutter -Race through the cascading ruins -Reach the ancient temple
Voice Notes: Prof. Oak uses his voice from the anime. The Team Flora guards use generic voices. Background Music: The Adabat Jungle Joyride day theme from Sonic Unleashed plays throughout the stage.
I hope you're ready for a long and fast stage, because your first stage here happens to be just that! This stage is taken from the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Sonic Unleashed, but only involves Act 1 due to the length and difficulty. You already know your main objective is to take down every Team Flora guard in the stage, so make sure you don't go too fast here. You'll start the stage by racing along a series of docks where you'll need to quickstep to avoid falling into the water. Just bash your way through any Cacturne Sentries you come across along the way. Once the paths meet back up will you have your first encounter with Flora guards. Upon going on top of an Adabat-style house will the screen shift to 2D view. Also be careful of a few Venomoth Drones (Team Flora version) as well. It's okay to grind some of the upper rails here because there's not that many human enemies here. Upon reaching a second launcher, homing attack a pair of Mothical Drones to reach a rail with 2 500p items for you to grab. When you reach a launcher near the water, make sure you land on the upper path because of a pair of Flora guards there. When you reach a section of multiple paths, watch out for Cacturne Sentries and Cherrim Pods. Once you reach a beach, bash through the cadre of Flora guards there and avoid the Cacturne Sentries after. You'll eventually reach an area with two Ground Turrets and your first encounter with a Sunflora Sawblade, a Team Flora robot seen in all three games known for being impervious to all attacks but Fire-types and Explosion. But if you also remember, hit their sawblades back to destroy them. Be careful of a few Carnivine Turrets and a Hover Turret along the moving platforms afterward. After a pulley and a Gamyga, you'll hit springs on the backs of Venomoth Drones that will send you up to a stone path before heading further into the jungle. At the ramp, you need to pull off a QTE (messing this one up is fatal). After the QTE, you'll go into Mach Speed Mode as a large Team Flora robot we've haven't seen yet comes down. It's called a Treeagle Fighter, and it attacks by firing spike-shaped missiles from its wings, drops spiked bombs into the path, and fires a solar laser from its beak. Keep dodging it until you reach water where it will fly off. You'll now hydroplane your way through the sunken ruins while dodging Lotad Mines (Team Flora version) all over (buying the Blue Program helps out here). After hitting a small beach island, you'll watch as a Rocket Submarine surfaces in the water and starts attacking you. You also have a few Hover Turrets over the water and falling pillars to worry about. Upon reaching shore and a few Flora guards, you'll hit springs up a cliff and run through the jungle once more where you enter Mach Speed Mode again as the screen shifts to facing your chosen character when a Rocket Sawcutter like the one you saw back in Mazuri comes hovering down where Sonic faced an Interceptor. This time there's also the threat of bombs placed along the path. After the Rocket Sawcutter has gone away, there's a short section with a trio of Scizor Crushers (Team Rocket version) flying through the air. You'll reach the water again and hit a rail before making your way along the water itself. This time in addition to Lotad Mines there's also several Tracking Bombs over the water you shouldn't run into and several Cherrim Pods and Forretress Bombers as well. After hitting the beach again, be careful of several Glires along the way back into the jungle. You'll come to a switch surrounded by Sunflora Sawblades that you need to stomp into the ground to open the gate and continue on with the stage. After passing a jump panel sequence, you'll reach another 2D area with a few more Flora guards and a series of springs, some of which are on the backs of Venomoth Drones and one that flips over to a side of spikes at regular intervals that lead up between some cliffs. When you reach a large waterfall in the scenery, you'll hit two launchers. Don't do anything in the first one to drop down to a Secret Item and a hovering spring that bounces you past the second launcher. Be careful of a couple Hover Turrets, a Roturret, a Sunflora Sawblade, and also a water jet as you make your way along the rockfaces in the cascade. Next up, if you perform two easy QTE's, you'll take a small upper shortcut leading to a launcher and an area of Mothical Drones and Tracking Bombs. You'll then hit a rail that spirals along the way near the waterfall and make your way onto a stone pathway where view returns to normal. Defeat any Flora guards and dodge any spiked bombs here until you go into another 2D section where you head through a ruined building. Here, crash through the Cacturne Sentries and slide under the ruined wall until you reach another ruined building where Flora guards are waiting and large stone walls will try to crush you. Getting crushed by one is like getting crushed by a Heavy Weight in previous games. After exiting the building, you'll do another jump panel sequence until you reach an area where the floor starts to quickly rise. Get to the other side before it reaches the ceiling and crushes you. Now before dashing down the hill after you get out, jump up onto the top of the building where you'll find Wormadam Cloaks guarding a Flora Cage. Inside the cage happens to be the stage's Full Restore. Next up in addition to more Flora guards is a Team Flora robot you haven't seen until now, Jumpluff-like robots called Jumpluff Drifters. This is another kind of flying enemy that you can use to homing attack and hijack, especially since it's very lightweight. After another QTE that can boost you over a couple Glires if done right, you'll run along a loop and then down a long path until you hit a series of springs that sets you along a path where the view returns to normal and Gloom Mechs discharging Stun Spore are waiting for you. Get past some more Flora guards, grabbing a pulley along the way and past a pair of moving platforms until you reach a switch you need to stomp into the ground to shut off flames above you, then wall jump upward. After shooting up Dash Rings and homing attacking Venomoth Drones, you'll hit a rail that goes near a waterfall and then downward to a series of springs alongside a cliff that bounce you upward. Next up, get past a few Toxicroak Fighters (Team Rocket version) and a holo-scanner equipped Hover Turret that teleports in several Mothical Drones if you're caught in it and you'll reach a flame wall with a spiked log on a column moving in a circle and a Roturret above it. Defeat all the Jumpluff Drifters to drop the wall and you'll reach a set of stone platforms in the air with a few Auroros above them. Now you need to homing attack another series of Venomoth Drones until you reach another long rail that ends with a spring that bounces you straight into the Goal Gate, thus clearing this long stage.

Tropical Mazeway
Description: "An ancient city now overtaken by vegetation. Team Flora's base is somewhere in this maze of ruins." Objectives: -Navigate the ruined city
-Defeat the Team Flora guards -Make your way through the tricky maze -Chase the strange Pokémon -Shut down the Flora Barrier -Get past the giant Flora Soldier -Defeat Peg (if she appears) -Reach Team Flora's artificial temple
Voice Notes: Prof. Oak uses his voice from the anime. The Team Flora guards use generic voices. Peg uses an original casting for her voice. Background Music: The Adabat Jungle Joyride night theme from Sonic Unleashed plays throughout the stage. When fighting a group of enemies, the night battle theme from Sonic Unleashed plays. When fighting a Flora Soldier, the night midboss theme from Sonic Unleashed plays. When fighting Peg, a remix of boss music from Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia plays.
As it turns out, the temple that we reached at the end of Jungle Joyride leads us to the site of a long-forgotten city now underneath endless jungle. This stage borrows textures and elements from the Adabat night stages in both versions of Sonic Unleashed, but is an original stage altogether. Despite the name, this isn't really an actual maze as it is a long, complicated stage. The turntable levers and movable crates from Tribal Stronghold make a return here, as do Dark Flowers. The objective here is to defeat all the Team Flora guards you come across. We start at a tunnel coming out of a cascade on a rope bridge. After going down a winding path, you'll have to climb a wall of vines much like grates to get to the upper ledge where you will endure a brawl of Sunflora Sawblades and Cacturne Sentries. After the brawl, you'll reach a turntable lever that when turned pulls out platforms in the wall that you need to jump across, but the lever will start to slowly turn back once you let go, so hurry along the platforms to the other side, since large spikes await you below. Next up, avoid a moving Hover Turret until you reach what may look vine-covered trees, but are actually old pillars. Get past Cacturne Sentries here and keep going down the path until you reach another pit of spikes. Here, there's a switch that will teleport in a string of Venomoth Drones for a limited time that you need to homing attack to get to the other side. After reaching the left side and reach tiered steps, be careful of Glires that come down them as you climb the vines on the sides. You'll then be thrown into a brawl with Flora guards and Cacturne Sentries that also has a nasty surprise; a Hover Turret floats in the center of the area. Note that since you can't damage Hover Turrets, you just have to defeat all other enemies in the brawl and it will teleport away. You can also get the Hover Turret to open fire on the other enemies as well. Next up, you'll drop down into a lower area where you have to push a crate onto a switch to open a door leading into a small cave. Be careful of Auroros in the sky over you as you do this and head into the cave when it's open. You'll reach a yellow cart like the one seen in Go-Rock Mountain and Super Smash Bros Brawl. Get in and you'll start quickly riding down the long and turning path, bashing Team Flora guards and other enemies along the way. Note that you need to activate the cart to bash through wooden walls along the path and that you need to be in it when it reaches a cliff overlooking a giant waterfall that almost seems like the ocean pouring down into the ravine below. The cart will eject you out and you'll go flying to a set of ruins on the waterfall's side. Get past some Dark Flowers here until you make a left turn and will come to thin ledge where you have to inch your way past sets of spikes that extend and retract. After getting past the ledge you'll come to a series of moving platforms where an enemy you haven't seen yet in this game, a metal robotic orb called a Cymul, which was seen in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary (once again, these are Team Rocket made in this game). It's known for deflecting all ranged attacks with its Reflector-based armor and you can't homing attack it due to its whirling blades. Get past all three of them until you reach solid ground. Along the way here are broken walls that you can use Explosion to blast open. The third of these holds a Secret Item while the first has a Super Potion and the fourth an X Defend; the second holds nothing. At the end of the path is a brawl that involves Wormadam Cloaks, Team Flora robots from the second game known for teleporting away and reappearing with a different cloak and weapons. Once all of them are destroyed, a Flora Cage holding a turntable switch will open up. Turn the switch to bring a lift along a line to you, then get on quickly as the switch will start to turn back the other way once you let go. Ride the lift past some Jumpluff Drifters as you reach another area of jungle. Defeat the Flora guards as you come to a green laser wall. You can pass through this, but once you do, the lasers will turn red, thus preventing you from going back, and you'll watch a short cutscene of the area ahead where many more laser walls and also teleporters activate. Now you've entered the actual maze section of the stage, which is based off a similar stage seen in Devil May Cry 4. The laser walls prevent you from traversing the area normally, and you must use the teleporters to make your way through instead. There are no human enemies here, but a new Team Rocket robotic enemy called a Rocket Trap is present (these look similar to the Fault enemies of Devil May Cry 4). These suddenly appear under you, and if one grabs you, you'll be instantly transported to a cavern with a few waterfalls in the walls. Here, you'll battle a brawl of Sunflora Sawblades, Jumpluff Drifters, and Gloom Mechs. If you defeat them, a Flora Cage holding a teleporter will open up and teleport you back to the start of the maze. Note that you have to fight these enemies each time you end up down here. Now for the maze itself, there's a number of areas, some of which involve brawls. The areas of the maze consist of a forgotten square where the start of the maze is and where you'll end up if you were taken into the cavern, some ancient ruins where some holo-scanner Hover Turrets are present and will teleport in Wormadam Cloaks if caught by one of them, a windy ravine where you'll need to use a couple turntable levers to position lifts over the expanse while dodging Cherrim Pods and Dark Flowers, an old circular area where you'll enter a brawl consisting of Tropius Tanks and Exeggutor Totems, a shallow green-color stream that has a few Lotad Mines and Toxicroak Fighters, an old ruined building where you'll have to defeat a brawl consisting of Cacturne Sentries and a Roturret, then climb the vines to reach an upper area with a switch, which teleports in a series of fan-propelled platforms and Hover Turrets to reach the other side of the chamber. If you head out through the opening here, you'll enter an area that is similar to the Lost Woods seem in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. You'll watch a short cutscene of Sunflorazumarill jumping down in front of you (this is the only stage in the game she appears in), then running off through the area. Go down the path she takes to reach the exit to the maze. Once you lift open the stone door out of the maze and head through the tunnel, you'll watch a short cutscene of a barrier like the previous ones, except green and bearing the Team Flora symbol, teleport onto a cliff overlooking the giant waterfall in the distance. Right after this cutscene, Sunflorazumarill disappears and so do the Rocket Traps. Go down the path beating up Flora guards along the way until you find the first Flora Emblem. You'll come to an area where waterfalls flow down at regular intervals. Wait for them to stop before jumping and keep going until you get to the second Emblem and what looks like a Rocket Sawcutter in the lower area. If you jump onto it, you'll then watch a short cutscene of it activating and the giant laser saws forming. The vehicle will start to move down the path, cutting down wooden walls along the way. Watch out for both Venomoth Drones and Mothical Drones along the way here and don't get off the Sawcutter. You'll eventually reach a cliff overlooking the waterfall area, but due to its hovering capabilities, the Rocket Sawcutter will simply move along in the air past smaller waterfalls to your left. However, here, a brawl of Flora guards and other enemies will ensue along your hover ride as such enemies drop down from above. You'll eventually reach solid ground again where shortly after the Rocket Sawcutter comes to a stop and its laser saws dissipate. Jump onto the upper path and keep going until you get the last Flora Emblem. Keep along the path until you reach the Flora Barrier, which should then blow up. You'll now nave to jump across a series of crumbling platforms while dodging a couple Tropius Tanks until you reach the ruins on the other side. You can take a side path along the way to find a really broken wall strong attacks can topple. Inside is the stage's Full Restore. Go along the main ruin area here until you reach a turntable lever that causes platforms to slide out from the wall and jump across them before they slide back in. Be careful of Cymuls along the way as well. Once you reach solid ground, you'll hit a switch that causes spaced out fan-propelled platforms to teleport in along the way back to the other side for a limited time. You need to homing attack Jumpluff Drifters in the space in between to reach the other side. You'll come to a large waterfall with a switch where you are. Hit the switch and you'll watch a short cutscene of the waterfall dissipating, revealing a maze of vines you can climb and Ariados Webs along them. You have a limited time to make your way along the vines, but some switches on fan-propelled platforms will keep the time going. Note that these platforms teleported in when the waterfall stopped and go away when it turns back on, so don't wait for time to run out. At the top, head forward until you get into a brawl of Flora guards, Cacturne Sentries, and Dark Flowers in front of another waterfall. Once all the other enemies are dispatched, a Flora Soldier will drop down and you'll now have to fight that. Bring down the really tough enemy and you'll watch a short cutscene of the waterfall stopping, revealing the Goal Gate and Team Flora's temple beyond it. Head through the gate to end this very long stage.
However, if the Goal Gate isn't present, head down the path anyway until you hear the words "Looks like we got a rat here!" shouted in an unfamiliar voice. That means you've triggered the small chance Flora Admin Peg is waiting! If she appears (she doesn't always appear), then you're going to have to fight her and defeat her to make the Goal Gate teleport in. Peg is tougher than the guards, but one who knows what they're doing can get past her easily.

Flora Temple Description: "An artificial temple somewhere in Adabat constructed by Team Flora out of some sort of organic metal and controlled by an organic computer. Extensive plant-life robotics and cybernetics are produced here." Objectives: -Defeat the Team Flora Grunts
-Defeat Brad -Defeat Seth -Defeat Xenia -Shut down the base's organic computer -Escape the base in time
Voice Notes: Looker uses his voice from the anime. The Team Flora Grunts use generic voices. Brad, Seth, and Xenia use original castings for their voices. Background Music: The Split Mushroom stage theme from Mega Man X4 plays throughout the stage. When fighting a group of enemies, the night battle theme from Sonic Unleashed plays. When fighting a Flora Soldier, the night midboss theme from Sonic Unleashed plays. When fighting Brad, Seth, or Xenia, a remix of the music that plays when facing a team Admin from Pokémon R/S/E plays.
Welcome to Team Flora's temple, which on the outside looks like a combination of Aztec and Cambodian architecture, but is a whole different story inside. As soon as you start this stage, Looker comes in on the hand radio to tell you that Prof. Oak currently has his research backlog to work on again, but that he'll guide you through the temple in his place. The first thing Looker tells you is some information on the temple that he's getting readings on. Apparently, the entire structure is constructed out of what appears to be some sort of organic metal produced by Team Flora and that a powerful organic computer controls all the defense systems of the base and must be shut down. Of course, your main objective here to defeat all the Team Flora Grunts you come across. You'll start things off by going through a hallway with a couple Grunts to get past before you reach a set of doors and enter a wider hall with poles on the walls you need to use to swing over vine-like spikes. Be careful, as some of the spikes will snap upward in hopes of striking you. On the other side is a brawl with some Flora Grunts and Sunflora Sawblades. Upon heading through another set of doors, you'll enter an area with glass walls overlooking the central area of the temple. A short cutscene occurs here where we see that the entire central area is flooded with poison water and that below the level where you are at the bottom of the chamber is a square-shaped glass-and-steel chamber. Looker brings up that the organic computer is held within that room and that in order to reach it, you'll need to drain the poison water from the area. You'll discover that the door to your left is locked, so head into the right one where you enter an area with mirrored Sunflora statues, a Solrock switch on the other wall, and a light on the ceiling generating sunlight. You need to push the statues into a set of positions (their heads are facing different ways) to reflect the sunlight onto the switch to open the other door. Once you do so, head back and go through to enter a room with moving platforms over poison water. As it turns out, the floating platforms in the Flora Temple are flat circular saws that constantly spin. You'll get hurt if you hit the side of one and will spin in a circle when on top of one. Make your way across them while being careful of Venomoth Drones in the room and head through the next door. You end up on an elevator platform that rises upward past several moving lasers and a brawl will ensue on the ride up. At the top, head through another set of doors to enter a hall with three moving Hover Turrets and you'll enter a large room containing a tropical forest and a bunch of metallic catwalks. Here, the view goes to 2D as you make your way through this area. Look for a moving platform under the catwalk you start on to get a 1000p item. The non-human enemies here include Cacturne Sentries, Jumpluff Drifters, and Dark Flowers, as well as a Gamyga near the end of the room. Be careful when crossing the platforms that move up and down about halfway through the area. After you exit the room and enter a short hall where view returns to normal, defeat the Dark Flowers and head through the doors to enter an area where you will run into Brad, the first of Team Flora's Admins. He's tough, but once defeated, you'll be able to continue with the stage. You'll then enter a room where you need to jump down past strings of large spiky vines where two moving platforms are near the ground. Get past a brawl here to open the Flora Cage holding a switch and press it. The room starts to fill up with poison water and the platforms moving up with it as a computerized voice warns about the poison water in the main chamber being evacuated, so get onto one quick and ride them up through the thorns to the top and enter the next doors. The next area is a wide hall with vine spikes below and a series of vine grates over them. Climb your way across them as you dodge Hover Turrets and spikes what try to lash you. The next room holds a sunlight puzzle as tough as the first one, but an endless supply of Carnvine Turrets make solving it tougher. After making your way through a downward-sloping hall filled with Grunts, you'll come to a room half-filled with poison water. Hit the switch where you enter to teleport in a series of floating platforms leading to another switch that will send away the platforms but lower the poison water for a limited time. Find yet another switch to open the door amongst the Lotad Mines and get out before the water rises back up. You'll end back up in a hall overlooking the main chamber, but the poison water is still high enough to put the glass wall under. Enter the door to the left to enter a room with large spiky vines and a brawl at the bottom that has a Flora Soldier at the end. Once defeated, go back up using the platforms and the other door is open. You'll enter another forest area, but this time along the ground. Navigate the turning, rising, and falling path past several Dark Flowers and some Cherrim Pods until you reach a Flora Cage. Defeat the Grunts near it and use the spring to bounce up to continue along the path and out of the room. You will enter an area where Seth is waiting for you, who is a little tougher than Brad. The next hall contains robotic enemies called Enragious Hunters, which are similar to Team Aqua's Aggresious Hunters. When you enter the next room, you'll find a switch that drains more poison water from the main chamber. A bunch of Venomoth Drones with a few Cymuls will teleport into the room for you to homing attack up to reach the door before the poison water reaches you. Just be careful you don't lock on a Cymul in the process. In the next hall, you'll watch a short cutscene of a Flora Barrier teleporting in front of a door submerged in poison water. Head down the hall through more Flora guards and you'll collect the first Flora Emblem along the way. After the hall slopes down quite a bit, you'll enter a large passage with a river of poison water below and a series of Barrel Cannons that you'll need to use to get to the next door. When you come to two options for going through the sequence, take the upper one to grab the second Flora Emblem. Be careful of Jumpluff Drifters and Venomoth Drones as you make your way through the whole area. You'll then enter a hall that has a twist with the waterfalls you encountered in Tropical Mazeway, poison waterfalls! You need to grab a steel crate and hold it over your head as you go under the toxic falls and into a brawl with more Flora guards and a Flora Soldier. You'll come to a shaft lined with vine grates and Ariados Webs along them. Climb up the grates until you reach a door that leads into a forest area half-flooded with poison water. Avoid the Lotad Mines in the water as you make your way along the catwalks and trees until you find a switch that raises the water level and you need to homing attack several Lotad Mines to progress to another switch that lowers the poison water level again. Make your way to a set of doors that leads into another sun puzzle room, this time with a maze of poison water canals in the floor you need to be careful of. By solving this puzzle the poison water will drain from the forest area completely, do head back and drop down. Be careful of Dark Flowers at the bottom and you'll notice the final Emblem, but a creature best known as a Killer Plant, a genetically engineered flower of Team Flora's seen in the past two games, will erupt from the ground and attack you. Avoid its fiery seeds, liquid acid, and don't get caught in its mouth as you take it down and grab the Emblem. Head to the Flora Barrier and it should self-destruct. You'll go through a hall with some healing and then enter what looks like a flower garden with large flowers. You'll find Xenia, who attacks in a gigantic bio-robotic flower in the center of the room. The flower will start by launching large floating cotton bombs that you need to homing attack up before they explode and reach the center of the flower where Xenia is. When the flower closes up, it'll fire huge amounts of liquid pollen into the air, which will then rain down upon the garden. When half of Xenia's health is gone, the petals will absorb solar energy, close up, and fire solar bursts into the air that explode upon hitting the ground. Keep up your tactics until flower starts to wilt and Xenia will be finished. Check the garden for the stage's Full Restore either during or after the fight. Head through the doors to enter a hallway with more Flora guards that leads into another forest area, this time with Rocket Traps to watch out for. If one grabs you, you'll be teleported to a closed room with a brawl consisting of Cacturne Sentries, Exeggutor Totems, and Enragious Hunters. Defeat them to open a Flora Cage holding a teleporter that sends you back to the start of the area. There's a brawl about halfway through the area before you reach a poison river and towards the end of the area near the river again is another Killer Plant. Defeat it to open a Flora Cage containing a spring and ride it up to the exit to the room. You'll enter a room with a series of moving platforms over poison water. Ride them past Venomoth Drones to a switch that lowers the water level. Hidden in a crate here is a Secret Item. Hit the switch in the center to drain more poison water out of the core of the high-tech temple and quickly head through the doors to enter a large, high-tech octagonal-shaped tunnel with poison water flowing below and large metal rings in between glass floors that slide in and out at regular intervals. Here, the screens shifts to 2D view. Watch out for moving Hover Turrets and also Glires moving along the rings After the tunnel makes a turn, you need to utilize moving platforms and bounce off of Carnvine Turrets to reach the end, which puts you in the large chamber in the center of the temple where the view returns to normal. There's still some poison water below, so use moving platforms to reach the entrance to the chamber holding the organic computer and head inside. Here, the floor is composed out of some sort of touch-sensitive organic polymer that if you so much as step on, some Team Flora robots will teleport into the room and upside-down Killer Plants will drop down. Stay on the platforms circling the organic computer in the center and attack it until it explodes. At this point, a computerized voice comes on warning that the organic computer has been destroyed and that the temple is inverting to trap any and all intruders. You have five minutes to escape before it does so, otherwise you'll be trapped and fail the mission. A Flora Soldier drops down that you must defeat to open the doors leading out. One through them, take out any remaining Flora guards along the hall until you reach a small maze where you must activate three switches to open the final doors out of here. Look quickly since they're not really hard to find and head through the doors to find the Goal Gate out of here. Head through and thus bring an end to this long and difficult stage.

Note: During this cutscene, the boss, and the cutscenes after it, it's always daytime, regardless of the time of day when you cleared Flora Temple.
Cutscene: We watch as the chosen character makes it out of the Flora Temple just in time. He or she watches as the temple appears to flatten and then a smaller, square-shaped structure rises up in its place. Out in a section of ruins, the chosen character sees Farlie, Team Flora's leader, escaping in some sort of green jet. Going into Mach Speed Mode, he or she follows him.
BOSS STAGE: Treeagle Raptor When fighting Farlie, the Eggman boss theme from Sonic Unleashed plays. When Farlie is defeated, the Clear Fanfare 2 music from Sonic Unleashed plays.
Looks like it's time to fight Farlie now, and it's a return to the high-speed type of boss battle! After a short cutscene of the chosen character and Farlie exchanging words and Farlie saying the Green Plate is his, the battle begins. This takes place in the Wii version of the Egg Lancer arena from Sonic Unleashed. Anyway, Farlie attacks in a large jet resembling a Treeagle, but much larger and different from the Treeagle Fighter back in Jungle Joyride. There are areas on the wings and back consisting of hexagonal panels that absorb solar energy. Anyway, Farlie will start things off by firing high-powered rail cannons along the wings of the ship at you, so dodge the spiraling blasts until you reach the area where you run along the grated wall. Farlie will charge up the jet's solar laser cannon and fire a large beam from the mouth that moves up and down. You can't jump here, so move up and down to dodge it. After you reach a rock wall, dodge more rail blasts until you reach the next passage where the screen will go to an overhead view and solar light bombs are launched at you. If hit, you'll become disoriented, so watch out. Note that you need to dash forward to reach and hit Farlie, so always wait for an opening before you attempt to do so. When you reach the Jump Panel sequence, you need to press the buttons correctly or else you'll fall to your death. If done correctly, you'll hit the Treeagle Raptor and take out a good chunk of its health. When half of Farlie's health is gone, he'll get more relentless with the rail cannons and light bombs, plus he'll detach each part of the jet and have them attack you separately. To make matters worse, the Treeagle Raptor will at times launch a gigantic circular saw at you that may extend an outer saw ring that moves up or down or also split into two or three saws that will move around. Keep up your tactics until Farlie has taken enough damage and the Treeagle Raptor will explode, meaning it's the end of the toughest battle at this point of the game.
Cutscene: Back at Giovanni's space station, Giovanni has just witnessed the destruction of the Treeagle Raptor on his hologram screen. ONNA comes up to him to explain that the acquisition of the Phantom Plate is almost complete. Giovanni tells ONNA that the chosen character has managed to get the Green Plate and to activate the EMP-XL Satellite and aim it directly at Team Flora's temple, thus destroying the complex and engulfing everything within the radius of the blast. Bringing up that it is futile to argue with him, ONNA obeys and activates the satellite. Giovanni adds on for her to send out a special agent to go get the Green Plate once the EMP field from the blast has dissipated. We go to somewhere in space where a satellite containing an EMP laser core and six EMP beam cannons activates. A computerized voice states that the satellite is firing a super EMP laser at the location of Team Flora's base. We watch as the satellite's computer brings up an image of the earth and then zooms in several times as we can see Adabat, then the ruined city where Team Flora's temple is, then the temple itself.
Cutscene: We go back to where the chosen character and Farlie are. As it turns out, the Green Plate was dropped after the Treeagle Raptor crashed and the chosen character runs up to it and grabs it. Suddenly, Farlie comes out of the wreckage of the jet in an escape pod and demands that the chosen character give him the Plate before he has to open fire on him or her. Suddenly, a screen appears on the windshield of the pod and a computerized voice warns of an EMP beam targeting the area as the screen brings up an image of the EMP-XL Satellite in space. Farlie realizes that he has no time to get the Green Plate back from the chosen character and just says to keep it as he or she won't have it for long! Farlie then flies off as Looker appears on the hand radio and tells the chosen character to get out of there quick before an EMP blast hits! The chosen character has not choice but to go into Mach Speed Mode and hope he or she gets out of there in time. Back in space, we watch as the EMP-XL Satellite prepares to fire as a computerized voice confirms the firing. We see a giant green electromagnetic beam shoot down towards the earth where Adabat is. As the chosen character comes to a large waterfall at the edge of the ruins, we see the beam come out of the sky, engulfing the place in a green color. The chosen character jumps down the waterfall just as the laser hits Team Flora's temple and destroys it and everything around it in a fiery red explosion. We watch from where the last part of Jungle Joyride took place as the EMP field from the blast emits a flashing blue color and all the Team Flora robots in the area short-circuit and then promptly explode.
Cutscene: Back in the village, everyone watches in shock as a several-mile wide blue light column shoots up into the sky. After the column dissipates, we see several large explosions occur over the horizon. Tails is wondering if the chosen character made it, but Looker replies that he doesn't know. However, we see the chosen character wash up on the shore and gets up on his or her feet. Looker, Tails, and Teanchai head up to him or her and ask if he or she is all right. The chosen character replies that he or she's fine, but that the hand radio isn't, fried due to the EMP-XL blast. Tails asks if the chosen character can hand him the radio and he'll try to fix it. Looker says that he'll look into where the laser came from. The chosen character thanks both of them, but suddenly, a laser blast is fired at one of the houses in the village, causing it to fall down into the water. Everyone looks up as see the Dark Raven decloak and on the jet's intercom, Attila comes on telling the chosen character to surrender the Green Plate. He adds on that they have several submarines surrounding the area that on his command will open fire and sink the entire village! We then watch as several large submarines, different from the Rocket Submarines (but still belonging to Team Rocket) surface and surround the village. During the scene, Looker has disappeared for some reason. We watch as a ladder is lowered and Hun comes down on it carrying three large weapons, a giant chaingun with a digital screen indicating that the weapon has 50,000 rounds, a large, quad homing anti-tank rocket launcher with a video screen and keypad on the left side, and then hoisted on his back, a large high-tech three-barrel gun with a glass casing that consists of a plasma rifle, electric gun, and laser cannon (this weapon is like a large version of Team Plasma's Atom Launchers). The chosen character knows that he or she will have to fight Hun and his heavy weapons tactics. As Hun tells the chosen character to prepare for the fight of his or her life, another battle begins.
BOSS BATTLE: Hun When fighting Hun, the Vs. Character boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays. When Hun is defeated, the Town Mission Clear music theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays.
In this battle, you'll have to be careful of Hun's heavy weapons theme. The arena happens to be the main part of the hub, so try using the houses for cover if needed, but note that Hun's weapons can bring them down easily. Note that the house that Attila sank is still down. Anyway, this battle is really about dealing as much damage to Hun as you can before he deals too much damage to you. The chaingun is easily dodgeable, but the rocket launcher is another story, as the rockets home in on you. They'll even swerve around obstructions that you might use to shield yourself. The triple gun fires plasma shots, electrical streams, and laser beams at you that affect you in different ways; the electricity can paralyze! Due to the weapons' size, Hun moves slowly around the arena and takes time to switch out a weapon for the one on his back, so use this to your advantage. When half of Hun's health is gone, he will tell Attila to shoot you down and now you have to dodge laser shots from the Dark Raven as well. Eventually, Hun will fall and this battle will be over.
Cutscene: We watch as Hun, now angry with what's just happened, tells the submarines to open fire on the village. However, we watch was what appears to be Attila takes Hun's videophone and tells the submarines to retreat. Hun asks just what is Attila doing, but then he takes the portable videophone and smashes in into the ground. That it seems like Attila comes in from the Dark Raven asking just what's going on. The "Attila" in front of Hun takes off what turns out to be a disguise to reveal that he's Looker. Since the submarines have already started moving away due to the order that Looker gave them, a screen then appears on the Dark Raven's windshield and Giovanni tells the two of them to retreat since the acquisition of the Phantom Plate is almost done and that they'll go find the location of the next Plate immediately. Hun says that he'll be back and takes the rope ladder back up into the Dark Raven, which turns invisible as it leaves.
Cutscene: We go to Chun-Nan, where as the events in Adabat were transpiring, Team Rocket has attacked the village here. Leading the attack happens to be Butch and Cassidy, who are in a giant cylindrical mech with a dome on top and two large arms and legs. We go to where the Alpha Gate (also the Gaia Gate) in the village is. Standing in front of it and three Gyarados is Zonshen, who tells the duo that they will not pass this point and orders the Gyarados (which are his) to use Hydro Pump on the mech. The three obey, and they launch massive water streams at Butch & Cassidy, but the mech holds two of the water streams back with its hands and the third fails to do much damage to it. The two hands discharge electricity through the Hydro Pumps and shock the two Gyarados firing them. The mech then fires a laser at the third Gyarados, knocking it down as well. As the mech steps over the village elder, Lin asks just why Batch wants the Phantom Plate. Butch yells out to Lin that his name is Butch and is wondering just how she even knows his name. Cassidy gets out of the mech while Butch faces the mech at the village, threatening to level it if anyone so much as moves a muscle. Cassidy goes up to Zonshen and grabs a light purple-color chain of crystals from him and heads into the shrine, where a statue of Darkrai now sits. Using the crystal chain, Cassidy makes the statue sink to reveal the chamber where the Phantom Plate is kept. She goes up to where the Phantom Plate it and grabs it, saying that Team Rocket has now obtained another Plate. We then see Cassidy come out of the shrine with the Phantom Plate in tow and goes back into the mech. Once seated again, Butch tells Cassidy that Prof. Mambo has ordered them to destroy the shrine before leaving. A screen comes on the interior of the dome where Nanba that his name is Nanba and to get his name right next time. The screen goes away right after that. Butch and Cassidy fire several lasers at the shrine and cause it to collapse. As Zonshen and the rest of the people in the village are in shock as to what has just happened, Butch and Cassidy start pulling out along with any other Rocket members there.
Cutscene: Back in Giovanni's satellite complex, Prof. Nanba comes in on the hologram screen to bring up that the Phantom Plate has been attained and that they will head to the location of the next one. Giovanni asks ONNA if the satellites have found the location of the next Plate. ONNA replies that they have the location of two of them; the Psycho Plate in Spagonia and the Stone Plate in Empire City. She asks what Giovanni's plan of action will be. He brings up that he'll have another regiment go to Empire City and get the Stone Plate and that when it comes to the Psycho Plate, he'll have Team Galactic handle that, seeing as their leader Cyrus disappeared some time ago and that their new leader is in a little need of direction. ONNA asks about what to do with the chosen character. Giovanni replies that he has a plan to make sure the chosen character never makes it to Spagonia and that they should not be able to ruin his ultimate dream empire.
Cutscene: We go to inside the Alpha Gate as the chosen character has an idea on where the Green Plate goes. Going up to the Mythica statue in front of the doors where you can enter the hub's stages, suddenly, the Mythica statue glows a green color and so does the Green Plate. The Mythica statue sinks into the ground and the chosen character is in the area where the Green Plate is supposed to be placed. The chosen character takes the Green Plate up to the pedestal and places the Plate onto it. Once the Green Plate is back in place, the chosen character heads back to the Mythica statue and takes it back up to the surface, sealing the path leading into the chamber.
Cutscene: Back in the Adabat hub, it's now nighttime as Tails come up to the chosen character having fixed the hand radio. He explains that it took him a while, but that it should be working. Looker also comes up to the chosen character to explain to him or her than another Plate was taken by Team Rocket, the Phantom Plate in Chun-Nan. He adds on that he found out from Prof. Oak about the location of another Plate in Spagonia and that should head over there immediately.
Once you've regained control of the chosen character, you'll be in front of Looker, who explains that he needs to finish up his investigation with Team Flora. The villagers will thank you for saving them if you talk to them. You'll also notice that the condition of the houses in the hub's main area remains after your fight with Hun. If you go up to Teanchai, he'll ask for donations to help rebuild any sunken houses. It takes 5000p to rebuild a house, so you don't have to right away. Once all the houses are fixed, Teanchai will give you a Secret Item. You can go back to the entrance to the hub to talk to Tails, but instead of offering to go back to the World Map, he'll ask you if you're ready to head to Spagonia. You should stock up on whatever items you need for the road ahead. When you're ready, go to Tails, talk to him, and select "I'm all ready!" to exit the hub.
Instead of heading to the World Map, you'll be thrown into the game's first side stage, which is based on the Tornado Defense stages from the Xbox360 and PS3 versions of Sonic Unleashed.

Tornado Defense
Description: "Flying in the Tornado en route to Spagonia. Team Rocket robotic forces hope to bring you down before you get there." Objectives: -Keep the Tornado intact
-Defeat Jessie & James
Voice Notes: Prof. Oak, Jessie, James, and Meowth use their voices from the anime. Tails uses his voice from Sonic-series games starting with Shadow the Hedgehog. Background Music: The first Tornado Defense theme from Sonic Unleashed plays throughout the stage. When fighting Jessie & James, the Eggman boss theme from Sonic Unleashed plays.
Now this is unexpected, as we're going in a stage in between Episodes. If you remember the Tornado Defense stages from the Xbox360 and PS3 versions of Sonic Unleashed, this stage happens to be basically the same thing. However, instead of being a QTE-based stage, you play this minigame much like you would a flying game or Star Fox game. A/1 fires a machine gun while B/2 fires a spinning laser that's stronger but takes time to recharge. L & R are used to perform a barrel roll, which can deflect attacks. Your foes hare happen to be Team Rocket's Aero Division robots, which consist of both old and new foes. The Tornado has 200 HP and if you take on damage, you can fly through items called Repair Boxes to restore some health. You should really only need the machine gun for this stage, but some stronger enemies like Laser Copters and a new enemy called a Shield Jet are more susceptible to the laser (in fact, the machine gun does nothing to Shield Jets). You'll also at times come by jet-propelled platforms with missile launchers and anti-jet cannons on them. You'll also pass through two hover minefields along your flight. When you reach the end of the stage, you'll watch as a large, octagonal-shaped craft comes up from the clouds. There happens to be two arrays of solar panel wings on the right and left of it, a large satellite dish on top, and a set of long missile launchers on the bottom. Inside the craft happens to be Jessie, James, and Meowth, who recite their motto, much to the chosen character's and Tails's dismay. After they're done, they'll explain that the Rocket Defense Station will bring you down. At this point, a boss battle will commence, where you must take Jessie & James down. The Rocket Defense Station attacks by firing spiraling missiles form the launchers at the bottom, laser arrays from cannons on the solar panels, and will charge up energy in the glass dish and fire the Atomic Cannon, which fires three red-green-blue beams that an energy blast of all three colors forms inside of. The atomic blast is powerful, so try not to get caught in it. You can fire the machine gun at the missile launchers to destroy them, but more will just be brought out over time. You can also use the laser to destroy the dish, but eventually, another needle will rise and another dish will wrap around it (the Atomic Cannon takes longer to come back than the missile launchers). It takes a while even with the lasers to destroy the laser cannons, but if destroyed, they won't be repaired. When half of the station's health is gone, Meowth will activate the particle beam, which will charge up in the middle, then fire a blast outward that can do serious damage if you're caught in it. There's no way to disable the particle beam cannon, so just do your best to dodge it. Once Jessie & James have take enough damage, the airship will explode, sending the three of them blasting off again, but countless laser shots will come out of the explosion, so make sure to dodge them as the explosion goes away. At this point, the mission is cleared.
Cutscene: We see Tails and the chosen character flying through the sky after Jessie & James's defeat, then zoom out to see that Giovanni is watching it on the hologram screen in his space satellite base. Giovanni says that he can send the plane crashing towards the ground and hope they perish. With that in mind, he summons ONNA, who materializes, then commands her to activate the Rocket Laser Tower. Back on Earth, we see a tall, high-tech, skeletal tower with some sort of unusual top in a wide-open area. We hear a computerized voice saying that the Rocket Laser Tower is locking onto coordinates ## degrees N, ## degrees E, and we see from a video screen on the tower's point of view the Tornado with a octagonal cursor of square-shaped pixels on it and various information is brought up on the screen on various boxes. Some of the boxes show images of Tails and the chosen character and also show things like the Pokémon the chosen character has and the laser attached to the Tornado. From the hologram screen back at the orbital station, we see the same image as Giovanni says goodbye to the chosen character as he or she is unaware of his or her doom.
Cutscene: We go back to the chosen character and Tails as they near Spagonia. Tails explains that they should almost be there. We then go back to the laser tower and see the Tornado from its point of view as the cursor flashes red, then immediately go back to seeing the tower itself as a large laser is fired from the top of the tower. Back at the Tornado, we watch as the laser strikes the plane with dead-on accuracy and Tails exclaims that they're going into a tailspin. As the Tornado spirals down through the clouds, Tails decides that he's going to have to perform an emergency landing. The Tornado's computer manages to lock onto the coordinates for Spagonia and Tails says that he hopes this works. As the plane continues to spiral, it exits the clouds and we can see Spagonia down below. As Tails and the chosen character start to scream as their fall continues, the cutscene ends.
