KIYOSARA
Description: "A gigantic high-tech city widely known as the Flashing Metropolis. In addition to its advanced nature, the place is also known for its enormous population and interesting culture."
Music Notes: An original day-based Tokyo-based track plays throughout the hub during the daytime. An original night-based Tokyo-based track plays throughout the hub during the nighttime.
Welcome to Kiyosara, a center for anything high-tech you can find and also large amounts of anime-like culture! Note that you start inside the Highwind when you go to another location, so you need to head out to check out the hub. The Highwind always stays in the air, so you need to use a rope ladder to board it when you need to use it for any reason. Anyway, onto the hub itself. Kiyosara is an amazing location as it's on par with LaRousse City, but in addition to being a flashy high-tech city, it also has a lot of Japanese culture within it (Tokyo is the basis for this location). Now this happens to be a pretty big hub about as big as the ones in Aquamuda and San Diales. The streets happen to divide the area into equal-size squares, making the city a colossal grid (which is the gimmick with the city), so to make navigation through the hub easier, we'll break it up into squares in a 5 x 10 grid. The most northwestern square in the grid is A1 and the most southeastern square is J5, and that's how it will work. Since you most likely came here while it was day, it should be nighttime in the city, but we'll try to describe the city form both time periods. There is a huge number of floating TV's that describe various locations found in the hub. Another note with Kiyosara in general is the deal with video games, anime, and other such things having to have had some sort of American release to be depicted in certain places in Pokémon Peace Squad 2 (such as the Cipher Hotel). However, in Kiyosara (but Kiyosara only), those rules are lifted, as it would be weird for such games to not be referenced in a place that's based off of Japan. In other words, music-oriented and/or rhythm games that haven't had an American release can be brought up here. Well, enough with some of the certain things about this hub, as we should finally get to what can be found in this hub.
A3 Block: This is where the Highwind is located and already has a large number of people to talk to (a lot of people in this hub may resemble various anime characters to a degree). Also note that any cars on the streets will stop if you're in the way much like in the San Diales hub. Near where the Highwind is is a teenage girl in a schoolgirl outfit (Kaori) that asks you what the airship she's looking at is. On the left side of the street is an arcade advertising a dance rhythm game knockoff called IdolForce Five (it happens to be a parody of The iDolm@ster series). You can go inside to find a younger girl (Yeyko) who wants to play that particular game. You can check behind one of the IdolForce Five machines to find a 500p item. The right side of the street has a teenage girl with glasses (Emeka) who wants to get the newest NT7-Phone since she thinks it won't be affected by the interference the Global Phone Network is currently having with the Kiyosara area. There's also a shuttle bus stop that has a digital map of the hub as well as a guy (Kyinto) that is waiting around for a bus to arrive.
A4 Block: On the southern side of the A4 Block is a woman (Atena) who's selling various fruits. On the eastern side of the block is an idol agency whose manager (simply referred to as Manager) is looking for new female talent. If you're playing as a female character whose listed age is between 12 and 20, he'll ask you if you'll perform a song for him. If you select "I can give it a shot when I have the time.", he will give you Music CD ##, asking you to listen to it before coming back.
B2 Block: At the corner of the B3 block is a woman (Hualin) from Chun-Nan who explains that her home village was recently attacked by a group called Team Rocket that took the Phantom Plate from the shrine in her village. Along the eastern side of the block is a CD shop called Okama Music that you should check out. Inside is a man (Ratuo) who is thinking about buying his daughter an IdolForce 5 CD for her upcoming birthday. You can go up to the young woman (Mikea) at the counter and buy various Music CD's from her. Here's the list:
Okama Music

Music CD ##: 900p
Music CD ##: 1300p

C5 Block: At the corner of the C4 block is a British-Japanese blonde girl in twintails and wearing a schoolgirl outfit (Eire) that brings up that her mom's from Kiyosara and that her dad's from Spagonia. She'll bring up that her dad's on business back there and if you've seen him. If you've talked to a man named Riccio when you went to the Spagonia Majestic, you'll be given the option to say "Yes, I have" or "I haven't seen him". Select the first option and Eire will give you a Secret Item.
D4 Block: Along the southern side of this block happens to be a trio of girls (Aoi, Renma, Saya) in green, red, and blue kimonos that explain that they're going to go celebrate the Star Festival soon. At the corner of the D4 block is a teenage girl (Sakuya) wearing a large cosplay outfit that happens to look like Sunflorazumarill. She will explain that she saw a weird Pokémon one day and just had to cosplay as it. On the eastern side of the block is the Kiyosara Hot Dog Vendor.
E1 Block: It's a good idea to come here because on the western side of the block happens to be a young woman that we've seen before, Paris (who was in the Episode "Arriving In Style"; she uses her voice from the anime) and her Lopunny. Instead of her normal outfit, Paris is dressed in a flower-print kimono and Lopunny is wearing a kimono resembling a Froslass. Paris explains that when it comes to being a Pokémon Stylist, she's decided to go into making clothes for both humans and Pokémon and has started something called her World Exhibition Tour. She's decided to start with Kiyosara due to the Star Festival that's supposed to be going on. Anyway, from this point, you can start doing the Paris's Exhibition Missions if you please. Just note you need to clear the Neon Metropolis stage first.
F3 Block: Along the eastern side of this block happens to be two restaurants, the first a sushi bar called Tetsuo's Sushi and the second called Kaneda's Noodles. If you go inside Tetsuo's Sushi, you'll find Tetsuo at the front counter and he'll explain that Kaneda is his older brother and that the two of them were going to open one single restaurant together, but clashed over what the main dishes would be. Because of the conflict, they just each opened their own separate restaurants. If you go into Kaneda's Noodles, you'll find Kaneda at the front counter, who will describe a similar story. Here's the list of what you can get at both places:

G2 Block: On the northern side of this block happens to be the hub's Pokémon Center. If you haven't tried to do so already after arriving here, you'll discover that you can't call anyone from any videophone in the hub (not even the one that's aboard the Highwind) due to a bug in the Kiyosara database for the Global Phone Network. You can still have your Pokémon healed and rent a room, though.
G3 Block: On the western side of this block happens to be the Dance Arcade, which contains a lot of dance and rhythm-themed games inside, including IdolForce Five and another one called Dream Rhythm. On the outside of the arcade is a DDR-like machine with a large TV displaying the game high above the arcade. At night, there is usually a boy (Hayate) and a girl (Ayumu) that are playing the game together.
G4 Block: When it comes to accessories and souvenirs from Kiyosara, check out the eastern side of this block for a shop called the Shrine Boutique. Inside, you'll find a teal-haired girl (Saniya) in a green-and-indigo shrine maiden outfit that runs the place (for the record, Saniya looks a bit similar to a character that originates from a well known "danmaku" game series in Japan). She explains hat she's not an actual shrine maiden, just dresses as one to go with the gimmick of her shop. Here's what you can get here:

Sayuri explains that she plans on heading to Aquamuda to help at a new restaurant there, but wishes that she had someone to go with. After you've defeated Annie & Oakley, Sayuri will have left here for Aquamuda. You should note that you're unable to head inside the Starry Nights café itself.
H1 Block: On the southern side of this block happens to be another restaurant, but larger than the previous two, called Ukondo's Steakhouse. You're able to go inside, which has nice Japanese décor and a number of people at several of the tables. Each table also has a flat grill for stylized ways of cooking food right in front of you, and some of the tables already have chefs at work at said food preparation. If you head to the main food area in the back, you'll find the restaurant’s best chef (Toyato), who'll whip you up with whatever food is on the menu to go. Here's the list of what you can get at Ukondo's Steakhouse:

J5 Block: The entire space for this block is taken up by a large Shinto-style shrine and the gardens around it. At the entrance to this area is a violet-haired girl wearing a typical-colored shrine maiden outfit named Remaya (she looks a little similar to another character that originates from the same "danmaku" game series as Saniya's basis, although Remaya resembles one of the main characters). Remaya explains that this place is an Alpha Gate and one of the few historical places in the city. She also adds on that she's the miko (shrine maiden) for the shrine and is also a Gate Guardian (which in this case is a bit surprising, as all the other Gate Guardians that we've seen like Mambano, Olaf, Gwek, and Otto and others such as Gregorios and Zonshen have been middle-aged or old men, but this one is not only female, but only in her mid teens). Back to business. Remaya goes on to explain that a group of people in yellow outfits came and attacked the shrine, broke into it, and stole a relic called the Thunder Plate. She tried to fight them off but one fired an electric gun at her and she still needs to recover from getting zapped. Anyway, go up the large set of stairs the shrine is on top of to enter the Alpha Gate.

Alpha Gate: Upon entering this Alpha Gate, you'll notice that it carries a Japanese shrine motif, including a small pond in the middle with small bridges leading over both ends of it and a giant Japanese lantern hanging from the ceiling. There are also waterfalls coming out of the walls that deposit into the pond. At the back of the chamber is a large Rayquaza statue overlooking the area with a set of stairs on each side of it leading up to the trio of doors where you can enter the hub's stages as well as an octagonal panel in the middle for when you defeat the boss for this Episode. Since it should be nighttime, the first door should be lighted up. Head through it to go to the first stage for this Episode.
Hub Missions: Here's a list of the missions for the Kiyosara Hub:
The Three Miko Trials: After you've reached Dagodney for the first time, if you come back here during the day and talk to Remaya with any character, she'll explain about how she became a shrine maiden for the Alpha Gate and the tasks that she had to pass in order to prove herself worthy of managing the shrine, a generations-old test of mind, body, and spirit. Remaya has decided that maybe you're worthy of doing the Three Miko Trials. When you select Yes, you'll start a three phase mission where you need to pass all three trials consecutively.
The first trial is the Trial of the Mind, where tall laser fences have been set up in the gardens of the shrine dividing the place into sections and a series of teleporters are in each section. You have a time limit of 5:00 to make your way to the Goal Gate by using the teleporters. It of course happens to be a maze and if you run out of time, you fail the mission and will have to start over. If you manage to find the way to the Goal Gate in time, you'll move onto the next trial.
Music Note: The Town Mission 1 music from Sonic '06 plays during this trial.
The second trial is the Trial of the Body, where several Team Plasma robots are found throughout the gardens around the shrine. Your mission is to destroy every one of them, but as you'll notice, your health has been reduced to 1 and no healing whatsoever is found here, meaning if you get hit, you'll fail this request and must start over from the first trial. Every kind of Team Plasma robot other than Plasma Soldiers are here and you'll notice at an area of bonsai tress Glunders moving around each tree. To destroy these without getting hit, get close to one so that it stops and opens up, then step back and attack it. At the last garden are three Luxray Scanners that happen to be a bit cheap as if one catches you, a tall laser cage teleports in around you and you'll end up trapped. As a bit of courtesy, a floating TV before the robots warns you of this and to attack the robots from behind where they can't see you. When you've taken down each enemy, you'll move onto the next trial.
Music Note: The Town Mission 4 music from Sonic '06 plays during this trial.
The final trial is the Trial of the Spirit, where you need to locate a Yin-Yang emblem and present it to Remaya. The problem is that there's a number of them and only one is the real thing. To make matters worse, all of them are locked in generic cages that only open up with switches that are placed throughout the gardens. Even worse is the fact that half of the switches are locked in cages themselves. Even worse is the fact that you only have 5 minutes to find the real emblem and show it to Remaya. The real emblem can be in any cage (the real one is gold/silver, the fake ones are silver/silver). Hit switch after switch in hopes of opening the cage with the emblem and show it to Remaya before time runs out to clear this trial.
Music Note: The Town Mission 3 music from Sonic '06 plays during this trial.
Once you've cleared all three trials, Remaya will thank you for being able to prevail over the Three Miko Trials and gives you Art Book ## and Music CD ##.
Let Misura Finish Her Game: If you head to the electronics block at night, you'll find Keyame, who's normally seen with her friend Misura in front of the fashion district during the day. If you're playing as (--------), Keyame will tell you that she and Misura are supposed to head to the mall before it closes but that Misura is out at the Dance Arcade and asks you if you'll go get her. After talking to Keyame, head over to the Dance Arcade and find Misura playing an IdolForce Five arcade machine. If you talk to her, she'll tell you she has made it to the final performance of Miruka Hatami and wants to finish it before she goes and meets up with Keyame. When she asks you to wait for her to finish her game, select Yes to start the mission.
For the mission itself, Team Plasma robots consisting of Manectric Chargers, Snapsparkers, Magneton Shields, Nightasma Searchers, and Electabuzz Blasters will teleport into the arcade and will head towards Misura, who's busy playing her game during the entire mission. You need to defeat all the robots that appear in the arcade for three minutes without any of them harming Misura (there's no one else in the arcade during this mission). If you manage to make three minutes without Misura getting hit by any robots, then you've cleared the mission.
Music Note: The Town Mission 4 music from Sonic '06 plays during this mission.
Paris's Exhibition: Starting when you first reach this hub, you'll find Paris and her Lopunny on the western side of the E1 block. Paris happens to be wearing a flower-print kimono and Lopunny is wearing a kimono resembling a Froslass. Paris says that her next line of Pokémon and human fashion is the Froslass Kimono, which consists of a Froslass-like kimono. If you're playing as a female character whose listed age is anywhere between 14 and 28, you'll be able to partake in a special mission where you and your Pokémon wear the Froslass Kimono. This mission puts you in the Neon Metropolis stage where you must reach the end of the stage without taking any damage. Once you have cleared this mission, Paris will consider the Froslass Kimono a success and depart for the next part of her World Exhibition tour.
Sunflorazumarill: Here are both of the locations where Sunflorazumarill can be found in the Kiyosara Hub:
Day: She can be found in the electronics section of the hub. However, she's on a building that you can only get up to once you've gotten the Jump Tank. If you talk to Sunflorazumarill, she'll give you Art Book ##.
Night: She happens to be in front of the counter at Okama Music asking for a CD. Mikea will ask you if you know this Pokémon before asking you if you want a CD. If you talk to Sunflorazumarill, she'll give you Music CD ##.
As Trixie: If you're visiting the hub as Trixie for the first time, you'll be asked to go to in front of the Dance Arcade before Remaya will let you pass into the Alpha Gate. There, you'll notice Samantha and get a short cutscene, where Trixie sees Samantha in front of the place. A harsh scene follows where the two of them fight over who's better, IdolForce Five (Trixie's) or Dream Rhythm (Samantha's), and a fight begins where it appears that Trixie has to defeat Samantha.
BOSS BATTLE: Samantha
When fighting Samantha, the Vs. Character boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays. When Samantha is defeated, the Town Mission Clear music theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays.
Samantha's method of attacking is to constantly run, jump, and also twirl around the place, sometimes stopping to bring out Mawile for Bite or Sableye for Power Gem. She'll also at times use her ribbon defense and also wrap her ribbon around you and pull you in (a take on Scorpion from Mortal Kombat). After losing half of her health, Samantha will start using a technique called Ribbon Cyclone, which pulls you in and travels around the entire area. This happens to be a bit more difficult battle, but you should be able to topple Samantha.
Once this fight is finished, you'll be able to continue with what you were doing. You get an Emblem for defeating Samantha and will be able to fight this battle again anytime you wish from the Stage Select area on the World Map. If you come to the hub for the first time as Samantha, you'll fight the battle from the other side. You'll also get an Emblem for this battle and can select it whenever you wish.
BOSS BATTLE: Trixie
When fighting Trixie, the Vs. Character boss theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays. When Trixie is defeated, the Town Mission Clear music theme from Sonic the Hedgehog '06 plays.

Right outside the place happens to be a teenage girl with long navy-colored hair and a medium-size deep-pink ribbon in her hair named Sayuri, clad in a maid waitress uniform and all.
