ANDELAJA"Located high in the mountains and known for its ancient ruins, this place is known to attract tourists and explorers alike. There are also rumors of a hidden city of gold to be found here." Music Notes: An original day-based Peruvian/Pan Pipe-based track plays throughout the hub during the day. An original night-based Peruvian/Pan Pipe-based track plays throughout the hub during the night. Say hello to Andelaja, a country with inspirations pertaining to South America, more notably Peru and the Andes mountains. The hub for here happens to be a Peru-esque village only about the size of Dagodney's hub. Once again, there are people to talk to and a few floating TV's to note each location. Hub Missions: Here's a list of the missions for the Andelaja Hub: Paris's Exhibition: Once you've cleared the Paris's Exhibition mission in Kiyosana, you'll find Paris and her Lopunny in the northeastern field. Paris happens to be wearing an Incan-style outfit and Lopunny is wearing a Xatu-like outfit. Paris says that her next line of Pokémon and human fashion is the Xatu Cosplay, which consists of a costume resembling a Xatu. If you're playing as a female character whose age is between 14 and 28, you can partake in a mission where you and your Pokémon wear the Xatu Cosplay. This mission puts you in the Deep Canyon stage where you need to attain at least 1000 total health in healing items (Potion, Super Potion, etc.). Once you've cleared this mission, Paris will consider the Xatu Cosplay a success and depart for the next part of her World Exhibition tour. BOSS BATTLE: RitchieWhen fighting Ritchie, the Vs. Deep Canyon Description: "A valley located in Andelaja's high mountains. A massive river flows at the bottom from a sprawling waterfall at the canyon's end." Objectives: -Shoot through the deep ravine -Defeat the Team Cipher guards -Evade the Rocket Crusher -Reach the gigantic waterfall
Voice Notes: Prof. Oak uses his voice from the anime. The Team Cipher guards use generic voices. Background Music: The "With Mila's Divine Protection" track from Super Smash Bros. Brawl plays throughout.
Now it's time to kick off out trip through Andelaja as we make our way through a high altitude valley! The canyon itself is filled with various Incan-esque ruins and is really deep; falling towards the river means falling to your death. You'll start the stage by zooming along a land formation before hitting a slope with Cipher guards placed in the middle of the slope, allowing for a quick crash through. You'll hit a Jump Ramp at the bottom of the slope and will be prompted to do a 5-button QTE. Get it right and you'll take a shortcut over an area with Sunflora Sawblades (don't forget that Team Cipher uses contract robots) and a spring leading up to where you land if you did the QTE. Upon landing here, make your way across the series of stone bridges while taking out more Cipher guards and evading Hover Turrets. When you reach en end of the path, you'll need to homing attack Claydol Drones, the last with a shield, to reach a large land spire. Here, defeat each Cipher guard and Crawdaunt Trooper to open the Cipher Cage holding a rocket that sends you onto a pathway on the valley wall. Simply go along the Dash Panels past moving Glires until the screen shifts to 2D. Take out any Cipher guards until you reach a series of giant pillars with Cacturne Sentries that you can homing attack to get past the area easier. You'll reach a stone path going down with a Roturret to run under and you'll get to a waterfall with stone platforms moving down it. Make your way along the platforms until you reach the other side where you'll encounter a robotic enemy you haven't seen before. It looks like a large metallic cannon with legs and a Team Rocket "R" on the side. It is called a Walk Cannon and attacks by firing either a spiral of shots or one or two lasers. These can't be paralyzed and some of them use rocket thrusters to take to the air. Get past the two here and you'll notice a large stone wall in the foreground. Platforms protrude from it and slide back in at regular intervals, so jump across them quick. You'll reach a land slope going down where you can bowl through Cipher guards and reach an entrance to a series of stone tunnels inside the wall. The view returns to normal here as you need to get past Mechcargoes before getting to crushing stone walls like those back in Jungle Joyride. Get past them and you'll enter a hall with Incan serpent statues breathing flames along the walls. Jump over them and take out a few more Cipher guards before you enter a room with a Cipher Cage blocking a hole in the middle. Get rid of the Snapsparkers (Team Plasma) and Manectric Chargers to open the cage and drop down the hole to a tunnel with Corsola Cannons clogging it. Get through them and you'll hit a rail at the exit to the tunnel and grind down a twisting path past some Tracking Bombs before landing on a land strip lined with stone arches. Dash through the Cipher guards on the path, but slow down upon large reaching pillars holding up serpent heads, as the giant heads will sometimes fall down. When you reach an upward slope, zoom up it and in between two Walk Cannons before hitting a steep slope going down and bash through any Mecha Torkoals along the slope. You'll reach a twisting stone path with more Cipher guards to defeat before reaching a spinning dual flame turret at the end. Hit the switch on top to drop the flame wall and turn off the turret and use the springs to reach the adjacent valley wall. Upon landing on a plateau here, be prepared to fight some Thundekong Troops followed by some Gastrodon Tanks (both versions) to open a Cipher cage with a switch that teleports in fan-propelled platforms leading to a stone path along the valley wall. Get past some of Toxicroak Fighters (TR version) and you'll come to an area of platforms that slide in and out of the wall. Jump across them while watching out for Venomoth Drones (Team Flora) and also a Forretress Bomber to come to a land path with fire-breathing serpent heads along the wall and some more Cipher guards to take out. Head down the slope to find a set of Dash Panels that boost you onto a stone path leading all the way to the other wall. You've entered a series of bridges going in between both valley walls and lined with foes such as Flarancer Tikis, Cloyster Shells, Sunflora Sawblades, Electrode Bombs, and Ariados Webs among others. Upon reaching the other wall, you'll find a gap with serpent heads breathing fire and two moving stone platforms going forward and back along the gap. On the other side, take down some more Cipher guards before hitting a Dash Panel that shoots you down a long path along the wall. Watch out for serpent heads falling here and you'll hit a Jump Ramp that boosts you onto the side of a large pillar where you'll perform some jump panel-esque jumps between more pillars before landing on a plateau. Get ready to fight some Exeggutor Totems (Team Flora) and dodge Auroros as you make your way onto a short stone bridge with a Jump Ramp that boosts you onto a much longer one. Start running along the bridge and the screen will shift to facing your chosen character as you enter Mach Speed Mode. The screen pans down to show something cruising beneath the bridge, a Rocket Crusher. As you sprint across the bridge, the Rocket Crusher will punch pieces of the bridge from underneath, sending them flying into the air, so don't lose speed or you're done for. You'll also have to watch out for missiles fired by the robot and also some spiked bombs. At one point, the Rocket Crusher will lift the entire bridge up into the air as a 15 second timer appears. As the view returns to normal but you're still in Mach Speed Mode, dodge the spiked bombs and make it to the end of the bridge before time runs out. If you don't, the Rocket Crusher throws the bridge right into a giant land spire, crushing you instantly. When you make it to the end of the bridge, you'll hit a Jump Ramp right before the Rocket Crusher throws the bridge and land in a tunnel in the spire right before the bridge hits. You'll exit Mach Speed Mode and dash through some Cipher guards in the stone tunnel before hitting a rail at the tunnel's exit. The rail spirals and twists like a ribbon as you dodge Hover Turrets and Mothical Drones and ends with a spring that bounces you into a Barrel Cannon. Make your way through the sequence while watching out for Magneton Shields. When you reach a waterfall, time your fires so you don't hit giant spiked balls that are traveling down the cascade. You'll land on a stone pathway along the fall where more Cipher guards attack. You'll then come to a wide high-speed canal in the path being fueled by the cascade. You'll need to grab Metang Carriers and swing across them to the other side where a land path begins. You'll notice the ravine make a 45-degree right turn and so does the wall. Boost down the path and past Cacturne Sentries and Mecha Torkoals until you reach the entrance to ruins within the wall. You'll enter a large room of pillars that shouldn't be too hard to get through, but there are a few Luxray Scanners in here, and if one catches you, laser fences will teleport in and turn the room into a tricky maze. Getting caught subsequent times changes the maze's configuration, so be careful, especially since fire-breathing serpent heads are lining the walls. After exiting the room, head through a hall with Team Rocket saws moving on all surfaces. After the hall, you'll enter a tunnel with a high-speed river surging through it. Jump in and ride the river past floating mines, Lotad Mines (Team Aqua and Team Flora), Laser Lanturns, and Sharpedo Subs. At one point, the tunnel becomes completely submerged and you need to grab poles to avoid getting hit by moving lasers and spikes. After the tunnel resurfaces, dodge any obstacles as you notice daylight and the river shoots out of the tunnel and into the canyon. You'll have to perform a simple QTE to boost onto a plateau upon shooting out the tunnel. Upon landing here, you'll need to destroy five Walk Cannons to drop a laser fence leading onto a stone bridge sloping down. Shoot down the bridge, crashing through Cipher guards in the process, and land on a land path heading towards the right wall. When you reach the end of the path, you'll be faced with giant wobbling pillars. Be careful jumping across these because if one tilts too much, you can fall off it. There's several Venomoth Drones making the path a bit more hazardous as well. You'll land on top of a giant stone platform where you need to defeat a few Cipher guards before you can stomp down on a switch to drop a wall of flames to reach a Jump Ramp taking you to a land path leading to the valley wall. Watch out for three Gamygas along the way and you'll head into a stone tunnel that slopes down shortly after you enter. Boost down the tunnel past several Glires and Mechcargoes until you reach a wide tunnel holding another river. Jump in and watch out for the same hazards you faced on your previous ride. Eventually, you'll be dumped into a large pool of water in a large chamber and will have to dive down and swim through a series of underwater tunnels and rooms. Watch out for floating mines, Sharpedo Subs, and Laser Lanturns as you make your swim. You'll eventually reach an upward sloping tunnel that takes you out of the water and into a long winding tunnel with both crushing walls and fire-breathing serpent heads to watch out for along the way. You'll reach another river that you'll need to jump in that eventually shoots back out into the valley, but you'll fall onto a grated platform down the waterfall. Get on the rail and cruise along it as the ravine makes a 45-degree left turn and you'll be able to see a sprawling cascade at the edge of the canyon. Dodge any Hover Turrets during your ride until you come to three rails that make their way further down the valley. You'll need to look out for Glires going along the rails as well as Walk Cannons flying in the air, so remember to switch rails if needed. The rails eventually end with springs that bounce you to a stone plateau where you'll have to defeat a bunch of Cipher guards while watching out for fire-breathing serpent heads along the edges of the area. After they're gone, head onto the zig-zagging land path (Dash Panels help you make the turns) until you reach a bridge of stone panels that crack and break apart under your weight. Get across them while trying not to get caught by Metang Carriers. You'll see a huge land formation splitting the river in the distance as you go onto a spire with a rocket on it. You'll take the rocket a bit over the landmass and drop down past some Masquerain Drones, Venomoth Drones, Tracking Bombs, and also some floating rings containing electric barriers in them made by Team Rocket that zap you (these resemble blue Dash Rings, so don't take them for the real thing). You'll land on the side of the land formation where you'll have to take out a few Camerupt Tanks (Team Magma) to open a Cipher Cage blocking a hole that leads into stone ruins inside the landmass. Make your way through the first tunnel, taking out some Cipher guards along the way until you reach a shaft going down and jump down past some laser grids, then head through a tunnel with several Wormadam Cloaks and three Sunflora Sawblades at the end of the tunnel. You'll come out onto the side of the landmass and hang a long U-turn into another tunnel where Vovalvo Puddles and some more fire-breathing serpent statues until you come to a large chamber with a spinning dual-flame turret in the center and Magmar Blowers surrounding it. Destroy each of them to drop a flame wall leading into another hall with Rocket saws moving along the surfaces and a scanner-equipped Hover Turret that teleports in a number of Walk Cannons if it catches you. You'll notice Dash Panels as you near the exit of the tunnel and go to a 2D view upon exiting the tunnel and going onto a stone bridge. Crash through some Cipher guards until you reach a break in the path and then homing attack two Scizor Crushers (Team Rocket) to reach the other side, but watch out for a Drapion Tank near a stone pillar that you need to use a spring to reach the top of and also another bridge. Dash along this bridge as it goes forward past some Glires and then makes a 90-degree drop where you'll hit a spring and bounce onto a Dash Panel that puts you into a trio of loops that ends with a Jump Panel bouncing you to a path going along a landmass. You also get to perform a QTE here, which puts you onto a higher ledge with a Secret Item to collect. On the main path are some Cacturne Sentries and then a few Cipher guards to defeat. Near the end of the path are some serpent heads along the wall that will breathe fire, so watch out. You'll hit a launcher that will put you onto another stone bridge that you can just boost across, since the enemies here are few in number. There's a Drapion Tank at the end of the bridge that you need to defeat to open a Rocket Cage holding a rocket that shoots you onto a set of ruins on a plateau. Make your way either along the ground or across the stone pathways above since Cipher guards will attack from either point. Upon nearing the end of the ruins is a Forretress Bomber that will attack you. Upon reaching the end of the plateau, you'll hit a rail where the view returns to normal. Grind along the rail as the waterfall can be seen ever closer. Watch out for some Gyro Blades as you grind the rail down towards the river far below. You'll eventually hit a spire where a long wide stone bridge begins. Here, dash along the bridge, knocking Cipher guards out of your way and dodging Sunflora Sawblades and Snapsparkers. You'll hit a Jump Ramp that sends you onto a trio of rails that shoot under large stone arches where you'll see a trio of Scizor Crushers fly by and start to attack you. Dodge their attacks as the rails twist and turn before you land on a land path where you'll also have to dodge spiked bombs. At the end of the path, one last Jump Ramp sends you onto a large stone area with shallow waterways flowing along it. Here, you'll be told to open up the waterfall, but to do that you need to hit five switches strewn along the path. They're not easy to miss, and you simply need to stomp the square switch once. However, when you hit a switch, it'll send out a shockwave that will cause a fifth of the area to collapse, so quickly run to the next part after doing so. Once all five switches have been activated, you'll watch a short cutscene of the waterfall receding to reveal a tunnel entrance holding the Goal Gate. The land you're on after all five switches have been pressed doesn't fall, so you can just head to the Goal Gate and clear this stage.
